Fun day at work today. I'm in a power engineering class for the rest of the week. Learning is at least as much as doing. I'm in a bit over my head, but that's just a bit more fun. Today was supposed to be the 'easy' day. Can't wait for tomorrow...

Gonna call it a night soon. Big day tomorrow. Or a huge embarrassment for some. Gonna head downtown at lunchtime and check out the "tea party" shenanigans. It'll be amusing to see a) how many bother to show up who aren't paid to, and b) how the unpaid will react when they find out they've been had.

Goodnight all. I am worn down, I spent my evening getting a start on re-organizing my garage. I want to set up a more permanent work shop, right now I have to move a lot of stuff around to do any work. This will be nice. Hope everyone else had a great evening! Good to see jfever stopping in!

I was hoping to be in WoW, but it seems my background downloader didn't have me where I needed to be patch wise.
So, now I have to wait for the bloody thing to download the other 90% I need to be able to play.

Just got done watching this week's House. Effing love that show. Now that BSG is over, it's all I got left.

 

There's always 'Breaking Bad', which is into its second season.
Great show.

Morning guys.. getting ready for work here. Another shave on the cheap day with my plastic Dorco walmart personna colgate soap and topped it off with some Barbasol Brisk. <think skin bracer.,.the green stuff>. Really a good shave. More on that later.

Yes, House is great. Taking a sideways leap from BSG to FireFly, I watched an episode of Castle (only because it has Captain Reynolds on it). It wasn't bad and the other episodes to have aired were all DVRed. Will watch those once we get caught up on Bones. We just got caught up on House last night.

When Leverage was running its first season, it was pretty good.... Waiting to see what they do to ruin it next season.

Daughter came home from school with bruises on her arms from being in a therapeutic hold, so that set the tone for the evening. I can only hope today goes smoother.

 

It's weird. I watch a lot of tv, but I hate almost all of it. It's background noise for other stuff most of the time. A lot of the stuff I used to enjoy watching is either gone or ruined. There was a time when I could watch Food Network nonstop, but those days are gone. Sure, it's on a lot, but again, it's background noise. The only things I'll really stop and watch are House, Top Gear, No Reservations, and every now and then, some random Discovery Channel show. Otherwise, it's on a new channel or the Food Network in the background while I work on school work or piss away hours on the internet.

 

That is certainly true.. food network and discovery are on the background while we do other things.... Any of the shows I might be interested in watching often I have to wait for daughter to be in bed; however, because I get up at 4AM, I don't stay up to watch that much. So most things get caught by the DVR for a distant day in the future.

But hey, I have "seen" way too many food network and discovery tv shows while sitting in a different room on the computer.

 

Food Network used to be so good. Now it's the Crappy Cake Channel. Alton Brown's Good Eats, once a can't miss and informative show, is dragged down by an over abundance of stupidity. And the dude's starting to come off as a real a-hole. TLC has turned into the Vaginal Clown Car and Psycho Parent channel, though every now and then I get hypnotized by Little People, Big World and end up watching multiple episodes in a row.
