Terrific classic shave and setup, Terry! I love Old Spice. I have more than enough soaps, but the next one on my list would be the Stirling Spice.

 

"If you only known then what you know now....." THAT would have been kinda dangerous for most of us, including you and I and the the world in general, Danny.....

The NO75 first hit my radar in May. That iteration had a matte finish and black anodized aluminum baseplate. Positive reviews but I couldn't warm to the look. This polished version was too shiny to pass up. It's advertised as a limited edition, not sure how limited it'll be. It came with a nylon washer between the baseplate and handle. When I unboxed it I thought that was a great idea but I would need to be careful not to lose it. Yeah, I already lost it. Must've gone down the drain when cleaning up after my shave. The razor locks down fine without it.

The shave was super smooth. The neutral exposure feels as if I would have to try and cut myself to draw blood. Just a terrific first shave.

Nice post, Jon! Sometimes, we have to go back one before we go 2 steps forward.

 

Happy to get back to some cold-weather shaving again(although there MIGHT be more times when an Aqua Velva, Mennen Skin Bracer might be more comfortable before the cold settles in for good. Oh...can't forget Stoylin Frost Drops.) But my loading must have improved since last winter, as I "soaked the pancake"(that being the flat WSP soap). Let's see how long it remains soaked...er BLOOMED I should say. 2 passes, easily distributing the Mahogony(WSP)across my face and neck with the Jayaruh brush(#59). The Aqua Velva Musk Cologne did its usual nice job. I may make some switching around of various soap&A.S. combinations throughout the winter, compared to last year's combinations. For instance, I might do the Agadir A.S. after the Mahogony...matching "wood" with wood(mahogany with oud). The Mad Scientist is sure to be busy with these scientific experiments. Might get the Clubman Whiskey "Woods" into the mixup act, too.

Paul, nice shave and post. Don't forget to put on safety goggles and follow safety guidelines when doing lab experiments. Remember, labs are 15 percent of your quarter grade. Lol!

 

Actually that may not be a bad idea-to help guide me to be sure not to shave too high up. I'm probably the only individual on the face of the earth who skipped Chemistry and Physics and went on to "Shave Science"., .
