I've been lurking a little today. I've been busy and exhausted lately and just haven't had much time to be around much.

    Can I be Cathy with a 'C'?

    Shep... you can be Kathy.

    Tracy can be Cathy C.

    Where has he been lately?

Sorry to hear that, Justin. Hope things chipper up.

I remember getting a chick for a prize from camp or something around Easter when I was a kid. It was dyed purple. Why don't people dye horses? I think a horse with racing stripes would be a pretty fun thing to see.

Contrary to popular belief, lightning can and does strike the same place more than once.

Seems as if the most lightning strikes in a year happens in Congo.

Also, this picture of lightning striking the Eiffel Tower in 1902 is pretty cool:

Cool, thanks Father. Learn something new every day! :D

I hear ya...I'm lucky that sometimes my job allows me to fiddle around on here, plus I have a lot of off time, and nightwork. Although I did just pick up a 2nd job recently...that's why I haven't been around as much as I had been...

In other news, I have Maxwell's Silver Hammer by The Beatles stuck in my head at the moment.

The beauty of AZ in the Spring. Last night and today have been a bit cool (relatively speaking of course). Monday it's supposed to hit 101! I'm not ready for that. Hopefully I'll be in Denver once July and August roll around.

Hello my other brothers. Cool lightening pic Dom, even if you contradicted me earlier <click> (haven't done that in awhile).

I'm actually Episcopalian myself. Catholic light or Catholic w/out all the guilt as we're commonly known.

101? That's nuts. I definitely couldn't deal with that. Tomorrow we're going to have a high around 70 here. It's been a lovely 50ish for the last few days (mid 50s to mid 60s is my favorite temperature bracket.

It's about time spring hits us here.

Tonight, I will be shaving with the tallow based Trumper's Coconut Shave Soap I picked up in New York last week. Report will follow.

Wow! That quick? Good luck with the transfer! I loved this time of year in AZ....who am I kidding, I loved it all....even the oppressive heat! I'd still go out and romp around in the desert....Of course, those were in the days before kids...:D

Cool Lightning pic. I don't think that I have seen that one before. A horse with racing stripes?... they are called zebras! They even have a movie about that.

We hit 60s today. Suppose to hit 70 tomorrow, and then 30s this weekend. Of course the good weather is during the week when I can't appreciate it.

Actually, I took the dog with me when I took the daughter to therapy yesterday. We dropped the girl off and then when to a watershed preserve for a nice walk. Dog jumped into the water once and wanted nothing else to do with it. I guess it was still a bit cold in there.

AZ has been good to me so I can't complain. Met my wife, had my kids, made good money and so on here. But we're ready for a change now, and I won't miss the brutal summer heat. Never did like it much.

Trumpers soap w/ tallow? That's news to me. I will be reading said report w/ interest. Not a fan of their creams.

Sounds much like it was here....

Oh, I agree, the heat did get old after a while, but then it started to cool down and was great the rest of the year.... I understand the change thing, sometimes it's just time. I've been feeling that way myself lately, too. I'd hate to lose the 10 years I've invested with the City, though...heck, I've only got 10 more to go now...

Be here for Cinco De Mayo.....we paint my mini donkey with red, white, yellow and blue stripes. Not to worry, waterbased non-toxic paints. He loves the attention and doesn't mind the trailer ride to the parade over in the city.

    I saw.

    I won't be baited. ;)

You've missed nothing. It only got rolling here about an hour ago. Oh btw I had to break out the pen and <click> Dom. Other than that, nothing much.

He gets to be a Pinata for 1 day a year. My other standard donkey does the living Nativity here in our little town every year. My angora goats make good sheep ;)

The pen prolly had cob webs on it... Glad to see the possibility for a move is back. Hope Mrs. Shep gets to feeling better. I just went through some antibiotics for my stomach trouble also.

No, no. Racing stripes in the OTHER direction.

I'm not a fan of their creams, but their soaps are quite good. Taylor's for cream, Trumper's for soaps. :D

Their current soaps are vegetable-based. They stopped producing soaps with tallow in them a while back, so you can occasionally find some leftover stock if you look. It doesn't say 'tallow' in the ingredients list, but shave soap base and toilet soap base.

The vegetable-based soaps perform very well. It will be interesting to see if the tallow-based soap is any better.

Ooh. Point me there, please. In return, I will point you all to the thread I just put up regarding my visit to Pasteur Pharmacy in New York: http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12552

Hey. Do I have to bring out my bat and the bag now?

    That's interesting.
I used to work with a lady whose son was undergoing sensory therapy for what was believed to be a variety of autism.
It was the first time I'd ever heard of such a thing but it sounded really interesting.
Restoring normal reaction by gradually rewiring damaged sensory associations.
If memory serves, it worked really well for him.
