Honestly, I don't know if the sensory therapy is doing much; however, she has gotten better about sensory issues so maybe it has. She is seeing an OT due to sensory issues; however, the OT has also done a complete work up and there are other areas of development that are off, for example she is a few years behind on her vestibular and bilateral coordination (relates to sensory problems as well)... So she is getting services for those things as well.
Well, part of curing those rage issues as you put it would seem to be alleviating some of the frustration that arises from not being able to properly connect with her environment. If you can't directly repair the cause, you narrow down the triggers, right?
Thats the general idea. As she has gotten older, she has gotten a lot better at identifying when she is nearing overload and taking appropriate measures (like putting herself in a time out or a quiet place). Things are easier now and when she has issues they are usually over in minutes and not hours like it used to be.
Finally made it in here after the last trip to PNC Park for the week. Started ok, but the pitching let us down. rrr
I'm here for a bit. Going to shower and shave in a few minutes. Today's my last try with the Red Tip SS. So far it's let me down with Derbys and red package Personnas. If it doesn't work for me with a Feather, I think it'll be time to give up on it and sell or trade it. Can't seem to get any of the Super Speeds to work for me.
Sounds like something is definitely working, then. And sorry to carry on about it, it's just a really interesting subject for me.
