Great shave, Joseph! As you know, I started out with my Dovo shavette and then went on to straights. However, you went in the reverse direction. Because you are an experienced straight shaver, you are automatically comfortable with your shavette. However, that comfortability factor will cause you to let your gaurd down and cause a mishap with a more unforgiving tool. My shavette is very light and it helped me develop a light touch. You are using a heavier shavette, but try using a lighter touch than you would shaving with your straight. This serves 2 purposes: First, your wounds would be few and minimal. Two, when you go back to straights using that same touch, you will marvel how awesome your shave will be. Have a great day, my friend.

Another nice shave with WSP Mahogony(Rustic). I'll be sure to use it more this winter, but I don't want to skip the others much, if at all.(Lovely problem I have, isn't it?). I thought the big Stoylin brush would be too big for the WSP puck, but it got out a nice amount. An immediate lesson learned from my first use of the Clubman Pinaud Reserve-Whiskey Woods. Too much application will give you the feeling of your date splashing whiskey on you for breaking up. Just now the "Woods" part is coming out. Therefore Whiskey Woods was the right name for it. I wonder if this means that less amount of application evens it out more between the two. I won't be using this aftershave in the presence of my sister, who is a recovering alcoholic and has done well.

It was my own creation. I had made an aluminum handle a while back. I bead blasted it and painted it red. The razor head is a Gillette Old Type with the top of the top cap painted red as well. A little IH decal to finish it off. It does make for an interesting little razor. Thanks.

Thanks, Clint! That shave w/ the AS-D2 yesterday AM was so close, that I decided not to shave this morning. Much closer than I ever got with the Krona.

    Enjoy your shaves,

    Jeff
