I2v1, Schick Proline B-20, shave 3 Reason for calling this an I2v1 is here https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-injector-type-i-and-j-reclassification.62682/ BBS close shave with this razor and interesting observation concerning this razor and some other Schick injectors. Counterintuitive in that most people would assume more aggressive means a closer shave and that seems to not be the case thus far with these Schick injectors. They actually seem to perform better when you use a steeper angle to the point they are mild and efficient as opposed to a shallow angle to the point where they are very aggressive with a blade feel like a straight razor when you ride the cap.
I2v2, Schick Proline B-20, shave 3 Same razor sans branding stamp as an I1v1 and gives the same shave.
First shave with two new items with one being the The Personna SS PTFE (1) and my newly acquired Schick injector adjustable set on 4 and WOW does that blade make whiskers disappear.(Very similar to the GEM Personna SS PTFE) A lot less audio feed back while shaving from this razor compared to my Gems and Everready razors! Razor: Chrome Schick injector adjustable M3 Blade: Personna injector SS PTFE (1) Very sharp and reasonable smooth just like a GEM Personna SS PTFE Soap: Razorock Lavender Brush: Razorock Plissoft Preshave: Wet the face + Aloe Vera gel Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse Post shave: Proraso green + witch hazel + Nivea balm Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum block indicates minor irritation with one blemish weeper=
Schick I2v4, Schick Proline B-20, shave 3. This one is the latter more common variant with the gold head and longer lever with writing on it which you also see on later injectors like the type K. Differences shown here. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-injector-type-i-and-j-reclassification.62682/ Surprisingly this is a more aggressive razor than the earlier short lever variants when used at the same shave angles. End result though is they all give a BBS close shave for me. It is not a question of performance but of preference.
thank you sir..my main squeeze will always be my vintage gillettes, but this and an f type if i find one will always be keepers..and used from time to time..
Another great Sunday shave and I like to use a "Schick" for the occasion if I'm not testing my harem of razors, Today I took out my newly acquired Schick M3 injector razor and it did not disappoint with a Personna injector blade. Razor: Schick adjustable injector M3 model MFG 1970-72 Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector (2) Very sharp blade Soap : Razorock Lavender- 1st Tub used up Brush: Razorock Noir 400 Preshave: wet the face + Aloe vera gel Post shave: Alum block + cold water rinse Post shave: FINE fresh Vetiver Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum block indicated minor irritation = Have some great shaves!
i think mine is an e3 .it has the locked spring in the center not sides and has flaps..do the e2 have a textured finish..not a lot of canadian pics out there..
no parallel lines.that would make mine an e2 then ,very cool, thank you..mine also says patent 1937 made in canada with nothing else..
i scored mine at an antique shop, with its brass blade dispenser,no instructions..the 20 year guarantee in perfect shape..
