    I'd love to.
And that Bull Mastiff is calling to me too.
I don't really want to take the head off of one of my spare NEW's to get one made, though.
I've been pondering picking up a spare Merkur head to sacrifice instead :happy102

Just finished a shower and shave.

I got a really nice, close shave. Used the Gem 1912 Fuzzy gave me with some CVS brand blades, and the Trumper's tallow coconut oil shave soap.

Didn't get a great lather out of the soap, but did get a good shave, so it's not really a disappointment. I know that the vegetable-based Rose Trumper's I have lathers up like Tabac. That puck of coconut oil is harder than a rock, possibly because of its age. I'll put a little bit of water on it while I shower to soften it up next time I use it. Another report will follow.

I'm not wowed by Super Speeds either.

I've got popcorn and a recliner.

I use pumice to lather with. Only the manliest of manly men use pumice.

<C> My favorite shave is Pumice worked with a wisk broom and a piece of broken beer bottle. GRRRRRR:D

This is what will be posted for the Rolls PIF. If anyone wants me to add anything to it, change the wording, etc., let me know:

A number of the members of the HYD thread have decided to organize a PIF in honor and loving memory of everybody's friend, Rolls. The shave products (and other goodies) that comprise this PIF represent some of his favorite shave goods (with a couple tricks and extras added in for good measure).

The items in this PIF are as follows:
    AOS Soap
    Astra Superior DE Blades
    Aqua Velva
    Aqua Velva Ice Balm
    De Vergulde Hand Shave Soap
    Gillette Fat Handle Tech Razor
    Injector
    Musgo Real Shave Cream
    Noxema Lather Shave
    Palmolive Cream
    Tin of Tuna
    Cadbury Mini Eggs
$20 Gift Cert for TSD store
    TSD Red Cream

But how do you enter this PIF? Of course, Rolls wasn't known well by everyone, so instead of asking something about him, we have decided to request those interested in taking part in this PIF to write a short essay indicating what The Shave Den means to them and how it has affected them, helped them out, etc.

We'd like this to go to an active member, so there will be a requirement for entrants to have at least 250 posts and to have been a TSD member for at least 3 months.

Thanks for the trumpers info.... sounds like I will be happy with what I have.

BTW Dom, PIF looks fine and I'm still in.

OK... several us have spoken against the SS conspiracy, is there any HYD regular that truly loves the SS?

Ya know, you could always get a pretty newly plated NEW head or even an old style head to go with that... Hmmmmm a replated old-style... :D

I do, but probably more for sentimental reasons rather than practical ones.

My granddad's '48 SS is a great razor and I always get a nice shave out of it. My dad's '57 flare tip SS is also good, but not as comfortable as my granddad's.

So far, I prefer later adjustable Gillettes. I've got a Fat Boy and a slim and both are great. Love my Old style. Need to try a tech one of these days and would love to try an open comb TTO someday.

Straights trump all of these for me, but so far, I'm not enough of an adept to use them daily.

Well I should have gone to bed hours ago. Why do I keep only giving myself 5 hours of sleep?

See you all way too early tomorrow morning.
