I bought them off of eBay. One seller was selling them for $10 plus .99 cents to ship them to my home.
$8 is a great price!! My best was $8.24. I searched today price went up. I think there is some kind of pricing algorithm the way prices fluctuate.
The day before 'they' were cheap? 'They' didn't have any buyers. And now? People want them, they're going like hotcakes, and the price is getting expensive. Supply and Demand.
Voskhods are great, i wouldnt recommend derby blades unless you like duller blades, i use derbys fairly often but id much rather use voskhods, rapiras, 7 oclock sharp edges, but feathers are my absolute favourite. Sent from my Redmi S2 using Tapatalk
I bought a 100-pack of Lord platinums a few weeks ago. Very inexpensive blades and they work well for me.
Recently I bought these because they were cheap: 400 Laser Ultra 200 Zorrik Platinum 100 Topaz Platinum 100 Gillette Winner 200 Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless And I bought these to diversify: 200 Feather 100 Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum 100 Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge 100 Bic Chrome Platinum 100 Shark Platinum 100 Shark Super Stainless 100 Shark Super Chrome And I have 120 Gillette Super Thin Blades on the way. 1920 blades. Ref: my usage in the 30DC, if we assume a frivolous 3 shaves per blade, this is enough for for 5 years and 4 months. Realistically, allowing for breaks in the shave, you are probably looking at 6 years worth. Is 6 years optimistic or pessimistic?
That's not counting the 2000 blades I already had in my stash! I'd say your estimate is a bit conservative. I normally swap a blade after four shaves but I've been playing with testing blade longevity lately and recently got 11 shaves out of a blade. I also give away a lot of blades with the razors I sell in my shop so some of them will be destined to be sent it as freebies. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I do, I have a shop on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AndrewShaveShop Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
FTR, it was a super transaction. I always felt your prices were reasonable, much more so than some of the razor-flippers on Etsy. I shall keep an eye on your shop
My last couple 100 blade scores were from Andrew's Shave Shop on Etsy... I agree, great choices and prices... My last cop, was a 100 blade pack of GEM Stainless Teflon coated SE blades. Andrew usually always has the good stuff for us SE shavers. And thats a blessing, because we have a hard time scoring at our local "Brick and Mortar" stores. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Last night I ordered 100 Polsilver SI blades because I read that they may have discontinued them. I didn't believe it because it's a rumor that has been going around for years now. But when I went to see who was selling them I found very few sellers with any of them in stock. That prompted me to place the order. Polsilver SI blades have become my favorites lately so if they are discontinued I wanted to at least have a decent number of them. Certainly not a lifetime supply but it will last me a bit. I shave every other day and use a blade for 3 or 4 shaves.
Re typed my response because it was to long, but this rumor pops up every other year, it probably helps push old stock before another run. But if they did discontinue all you would have to do is figure out what other named blade is produced on that machine. PPI gillette in Russia only has a few different blades, the brand names change depending on the market.
