I've heard that, so I wasn't disappointed it wasn't lime. Glad to get to enjoy this tube! The little knives have been tucked away for now. Their mom at first said next B-day. They'll be nine. Then I heard when they turn ten. I work with them in the kitchen teaching safe handling skills with everything from small paring up to full sized chef's knives. They'll be ready with momma says so. Every Hussy I've seen has had corrosion on the top cap. The handle and blade holding components are in fine shape so it's just cosmetic flaws in the cover. Thanks for adding it! I know I've heard that story about that paperweight...Guess I know how it ends but don't remember the rest. The coin purse isn't as large as I thought they'd be. Maybe from a young 'roo. It's authentic though - not sewed together, but grown in the right shape.
I'm definitely in for a third, I have goodies galore to add. I recently have been through a few antique shops and large haul or two from ebay.
Shave Report; After a standard cleaning with Dawn, a 90% alcohol dip, and a fresh blade installation - Daughter likes it! She said it was the first razor ever she didn't get any nicks, and felt comfortable doing her arm pits. Thanks Keith @Enrico! Now I'll be watching for another so I can have one of my own.
Happy Sunday From Florida! Here is the take: Here is the give, courtesy of @PLAla This closes out round two. See ya in round three: https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/2019-travelling-box-tour-round-three.62768/#post-1658777
Thanksgiving day with the box. Razor: Valet Autostrop Blade: Feather FHS Hi-Stainless (3) Brush: Ever Ready 500BN SS: Arko Shave Stick AS: Pinaud Clubman Musk I gave the Valet a 4 hour tumble in stainless steel beads. It polished up quite well. I noticed there are no blades in the box, but I have my own. I went very easy with this shave because I am not familiar with the tooks, and just did a WTG and 2 XTG passes. Nice and smooth, comfortable shave. I wasn't really interested in any of the AS in thr box as I prefer alchohol in my AS. So I put some in the box and then used it. I've already heard complaints from my wife on this. She took the Clubmab out of hiding to put in the box not so I could use it. @MR41 yep, I used the Arko Rick put in the box for you. I had never tried it and now I have, but I also purchased a replacement. However, the Arko formerly owned by @RyX is MINE.
I appreciate it, but you didnt have to replace anything. Arko is some good stuff. For the money it might be the best budget soap available.
