  3. I absolutely love Lather Catcher's and this is a great one -- GEM 1903/04. I have the full set (case, strop and wedge blade), but it was late and I felt like a nice wooden handle and a modern blade, so I popped on a @Jayaruh handle and a unmodified/unshimmed plain ol' GEM SS PTFE blade on it's 3rd shave. The result was a comfortable two-pass shave and a smooth face.

It wasn't the best shave I've had with the Claymore, a new blade is in, ready for next time.

Movable spring version. Shave was meh with this razor. I suspect I used too steep of an angle since I've gotten better shaves out of this razor in the past. Tomorrow I'll ride the cap when I shave it. Razor has a lot of bark aka blade feel in fact this razor has the most blade feel of pretty much any razor that is not a straight I've ever used but has no bite at all. I find my I2v4 more aggressive for this reason it bites something fierce if you aren't careful unlike this razor.

    Simpson Chubby 1 / Maggards 2band
    Williams Mug soap
    Ever Ready " Streamline"
    Gem S/S [ 2 ]
    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

Started a new rotation today, and after using a variety of AC/ SE found that Vintage Razors are more challenging. Used my Favourite today, which when used with care and attention can be used with precision to deliver an ultra close finish. I am pleased that after a trouble free Shave, I was rewarded with
a finish equalling the best I get from the modern AC/SEs.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #206
    Dad's Schick E3
    Personna Injector
    CWR
    Cella After Shave Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Brush. I did two passes with Dad's Schick E3 razor with a Personna Injector Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  18. SEptemper is a interesting Thread, chance to take out my larger collection of razors now and give them a whirl, Seen a Weck razor today and that's a rarity and I guess a excellent razors from some of the experienced hands also have mentioned.
This Schick G injector is a rarity, it has a G1 handle with a G spring and was MFG in Canada 1937 pat base plate at the Niagara Falls Schick plant before it closed(they claim no G types where made in Canada?).
Razor: Schick G1 type injector 1946> Canadian variant
Blade: Personna SS PTFE blade (1) awesomely sharp and a bit smooth also.
    Soap : Razorock XXX
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Preshave: wet the face + Aloe Vera gel
Postshave: Alum block+ cold water rinse
Post shave: Razorock Blue barber+ witch hazel+ Nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + Alum indicated minor irritation and one blemish weeper.= :)

I shaved this one at a ride the cap angle and overall shave was still the same as shave 6. I don't think this blade is done since if it was I would have known it by the burn after the shave which there was none. Maybe this razor doesn't play nice with Proline blades. This razor just reminds me of a Type D the way it shaves only that it has some serious blade feel to it compared to a Type D. I am going to revisit both this and the Type D with a Personna blade after I get to 10 shaves on this blade.
