I think the blueing is playing tricks on your eyes. It is a 6/8 wester grind kami, it is a 1/2 hollow grind. It was a standard model for PRC called the Chimera. I asked them to blue it for me. I struggled to hone it in the past and I finally figured it out so you will it more often. I hone it without tape so I think the shinny line on the spine of the blade makes it look like a frame back in the picture. Here a couple of pics from the past that give a better view.

5/8+ F.W.Soderen Frame - back Had a fantastic shave with this Vintage Swedish blade.This Swedish doll shaves as well if not better than the Best that Germany, Japan and England had to offer in the day.It was a treat using this treasure from Eskilstuna.

This is a shavette sharp 4/8 Lewis-Strenger Barber Supply "Venus". I did 25 linen and 50 horse this AM prior to shaving. It has been on the 200k diamond paste for some time. I love the shoulderless type. Very pleasing razor to use. Yes, the scales are carved and bone.
The Boker Wiener Schaber rotated in. Next stop, a finish hone. I didn’t lose a bedroom, I gained a son. Two sons in the house now and the vanity is filling with razors. There are always slants in play. #1 is rotating through open combs from the collection. #2 just uses his Schick L and never changes the blade. They both think my SRs are a sign of senile dementia.

Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Cella Crema Da Barba Jayaruh #206 Dubl Duck 5/8 CWR Cella After Shave Balm My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Cella Crema Da Barba face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Brush. I did two passes with the Dubl Duck 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
