This one has no date code and has some pretty good marks and scratches on it. I’ll post a pic when it gets a run.

 

Thank you! It's in great shape, considering it's 58 years old. The build quality of these old Gillette adjustable razors is amazing. The numbers on the adjustment dial were faded, so I used used a Sharpie to freshen them up.

 

It looks fantastic!

I had a fantastic shave with some favorite gear this morning. When the angle is right on the NEW LC, I cannot feel the blade at all. The Voskhod blades were extremely smooth, as expected. JR # 160 is a favorite - a handle made by our very own @Jayaruh from bat wood I obtained at my hometown Louisville Slugger museum (see photo below) paired with a wonderful Omega '98 boar knot. This brush will make lather out of anything, and I had loads of it from the T&H Sandalwood in nothing flat.

In addition to my SOTD photo, I'm showing a photo of the NEW LC prior to its spa treatment. It was a well-loved razor for many years, and it continues to be well-loved in my Den.

I finished up my shave with the normal stuff, including a very pleasant "aqua" scented EDT. It was a nice finish for a very warm Kentucky September day.
