Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor Gem Stainless Blade Certifyd #5 Brush Shave Cream Mix Dickinson's Witch Hazel w/Orange Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum AS First time using this razor as one of the blade stops was sheared off. But I really wanted to use it, so I did a repair to it. I placed it upside down on a mouse pad and I put a small screwdriver on the slot for the blade stop. I gave it a few whacks with a hammer and raised the blade stop enough to hold the blade in place, it works. Loaded it up with a new blade and also used the brush for the first time. Well, this brush will be a candidate for a new knot as it was a bit floppy, no big deal. As far as the shave, it went really fine. An excellent DFS in two passes, a couple of strokes extra for a great BBS shave. The only thing I'd want to do is have a heavier and thicker handle, maybe more length, as the head had a tendency to twist around.

September 11 Razor - Ever Ready Shovelhead Blade - CVS Carbon SE Soap - Stirling Barbershop Brush - 30DC Meet UP LE Post - Alum Moving right along let's switch to the Ever Ready Shovelhead SE. This little jewel was a win from a raffle and I had no idea what I'd won until it arrived. The few times I've tried it proved it can be a nippy little thing. Fresh carbon blade and some Stirling Barbershop for a classic scent, all whipped up to a glorious lather with the 30 DC meet up brush with the SynBad bulb knot. This razor is louder than either the 1912 or 1914 and really does a fine job. Angle is everything to stay on course with it and three passes brought the baby with no blood and the alum was quiet. Best shave I've had with this razor. Loved it! Spending an entire month on SE gets me thinking about spending a lot more time with them. Especially with this kind of a quality shave.

SOTD Thursday Day 3 with the RazoRock Eco and today I used a Derby Platinum blade. Had a great shave. Getting used to the razor, learning my angles and pressure. The Derby blade is smoother than the Crown. Nice shave.
