Morning folks. Another day at work. JoAnna glad you had a good day.

If anyone wants the pics of Matt shopping with Tom's wife I have a spare set or two to sell.

Last morning for shave on the cheap week. I am still amazed at how good that plastic Dorco razor shaved. I think I will write a review of them since they are sold in the TSD store. Day 5 on a wally world personna went ok too. I would not want to do 6 on it though.

Justin... Counting just the razors I have at home I can do well over 2 months of shaves with a different one every day. I do not have a hugh supply of blades yet. I needa make a Pella order here soon.

 

Morning all. It was an awfully hectic night at work. I didn't think the end would ever come, but I'm finally home and winding down. I brought my Fuliwen fountain pen to work to see how it would work out as an everyday use kind of pen and to see if it would press through some of our triplicate forms. It did quite a good job. It also caught the attention of quite a few coworkers. I let one of the medics borrow the pen to give it a go and he ended up purchasing a Wality pen. As a nice little surprise, he picked one up for me too. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay free pen!

Now, if somebody would please save me from myself and purchase the Merkur Slant that's listed in the classified section before I figure out a way to justify it, I'd be very grateful. I already have one and love it, but for some reason, having two doesn't sound like a bad idea.

 

Morning all...

I woke up to 3 AM to my daughter yelling, "I said I am ready!"

Huh... wha?

She was in the shower and yelling for someone to help her with her hair. At 3AM Argh.... things went downhill from there.... Oh well..

Just finished RR shave and then it is off to get dressed.

Yup finished up this morning. Have to go post over there when I get a few free minutes. I am amazed how good the shaves from that plastic Dorco have been. But still not gonna give up the ole SE stuff.

 

So, when you gonna start a S/E shave week?

Good morning all.
I hit the gun show yesterday morning and found a fix-er-up .22 for $50.
After I spent a couple of hours cleaning it up and trying to diagnose a cartridge extraction issue, I attempted to sleep.
That didn't work so well, and I ended up getting back up, having coffee, and staying up until about 1am. Sleep seemed to work better after thoroughly exhausting myself
And on that note, I think it's breakfast time.

Oh, there were a couple of vendors who had vintage straight's at the gun show yesterday... including a pretty nice looking C-Mon and a Dubl Duck in dire need of polishing.
I could probably go back and pick them up, but I have to stay out of that place.
Yesterday it was a $50 cash-n-carry .22, today it could be a $450 Ruger Mk III :happy102

 

I heard a rumor of one coming up.. Most weeks are SE weeks for me.. maybe 1912 week or something. Someone else is leading the charge on that one. VIVA LA REVOLUTION.

Happy Sunday peeps. We seem to have more and more graveyard shift guys around here these days. All you going to bed when everyone else is getting up. I haven't worked a graveyard in years. They do exist in my agency, but not anywhere I've worked. I don't miss them at all, though the differential pay can be nice bonus.

So it's good to hear from Shawn and hear that he has employment again. Happy to hear that news.

Weather is turning quite nice here now. 80's most days and 60's most nights. Perfect. They say Monday is going to hit 100 which kind of stinks but it won't last. If all goes as planned I'll get to enjoy one last AZ spring and then benefit from a CO summer. :happy088

Try a blow dryer, Justin. Or, if you've got one, try a heat gun. It kind of depends on what kind of chips you have. New ones are plastic, but really old ones can be hard rubber or casien. Heat will soften all of those. Plastic will tend to soften and then get drippy a few degrees hotter. Hard rubber will get soft and will take a lot of heat before it does anything bad. Casien will melt in water (not the right chip to use). Anyway, just a thought.
