The Fat is cheaper at Connaught Shaving in the UK, about $22 for the ceramic dish and soap (17.40 pounds). The refill puck from there is about $8. Yes, there is international shipping, but they're fast and relatively cheap.

 

I thought about buying one of their hybrid razors but with a 50% off coupon, I bought a limited edition Gunmetal Gray Genesis.

I am going to have to evaluate getting rid of some of the stuff. I am just not sure what at this point.

My buddy Wade has one and it is just gorgeous. Pictures really don't do it justice. He got his on a 50% off sale and I have been waiting for one to pull the trigger.

BLADE: Voskhod
PRE-SHAVE: Cold water rinse w/ Glycerine soap
BRUSH: WCS Best Badger
SOAP: Stirling Obsidian Glacial
POST-SHAVE: Witch Hazel followed by Stirling Obsidian Glacial Aftershave

 

I don't recall you blade of choice, but when I moved in a similar fashion I tried to extend to the polar opposites.

In the end I found I like blades!

Rick, as Perry said you can get MWF from Connaught cheaper. I routinely place orders with that that qualify for free shipping so if you want me to throw something into the cart for you just let me know. ALSO, I think I've come to the conclusion that The Fat just isn't for me. So if you would like my tin of it (sorry no fancy ceramic croc, but it is a nice wide 4"tin) it's yours.

I mean move away from what i am using atm 1 at a time and only once I've worn out the blade in use.

So, i could switch out the soap 1st, go 3-4 shaves, new blade and then switch out the brush for that blade life span and so on and so forth.

 

Kent shaving soap is cheaper and is just MWF rebadged.

 

I don’t have the exact dates, but I would guess a little over two years. I use it once a week except for the summer or holidays, so once a week for two years would be 104 weeks. I’m guessing about two years, then.
