I understand! When I preordered my Rockwell T, it was tentatively scheduled to be delivered within 3 months. As it turned out, it was just over 8 months.

 

Amen! I have a friend in Alabama! Everytime I hear the Sweet Home Alabama song, I think of you, Perry and Chris.

Thanks Terry! The razor is not designed well per my experience with it. By the way, I neglected to mention that it broke apart. At the time, I bought another VDH because it was cheap and I had grown accustomed to the shave. I rarely use this razor because it is nonadjustable. I figure it will last me for many years because I have better razors.

Neal, great shave and hope everything will be ok with you. Now, for a serious question. Where have you been? I have been singing the praises of Stirling Satsuma for months! Lol!

 

Get well soon Neal! We need you steering this juggernaut. As to that MRI, I've not had the pleasure, but I've heard it's like laying on the ground while a garbage truck backs over you, but less dripping and stink.

 

I do believe it was your posts that included Satsuma that helped convince me to give it a shot. I considered a sample but decided to just dive in with the full tub. Yep. You definitely have good taste.

 

I've had more than my fair share of MRI's, s well as CT scans as well. I much prefer the CT as it's quick and quiet. However, when they need the best look they turn on the magnets. I just hope the music choices they offer in the headphones are decent. The last time I was in one they only had elevator music piped in and I nearly went to sleep. They had to start talking to me to get me alert enough to do all of the breath holding and other stuff they need.

 

It has been busy for me and have not checked in for a few days.... another 914 posts behind glad to see the 30DC is as busy as ever. Now here is an update on my sharpness perception focus:

In this comparison there are three razors, two 6/8 half hollows and a 7/8 full hollow.

Edward Brice (EB) 6/8 half hollow: This razor had two shaves on it since it last saw the stones. First two passes felt smooth and the final ATG on the chin and upper lip showed it has a sharp edge.

Dorko 7/8 full hollow: This is the first shave since I refreshed it on the stones and diamond pasted strops to 100k. First two passes and wow she feels sharp, ATG oh yeah this is very sharp, I wish that people who think Feather Pro and Feather DE are sharper than straights could try this blade.

Mastro Livi (ML) 6+/8 half hallow: This Italian beauty has 5 shaves on the edge and the first two passes felt like velvet, she did not give any sensation of sharpness. ATG and oh yeah she is more than just smooth, she is uber sharp.

First two passes and the Dorko felt much sharper than the EB and ML.

ATG on the chin and upper lip: The ML is the winner with the Dorko in second.





Not sure if I can catch up, I wish we had a news function so I could get a summary of what I missed.
