September 2019 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

Back in 2008 when I bounced in and out of Barnes-Jewish for a few months I always had one nurse who would start my IV. Her name was Beth. She would see them wheel me in and would just follow me down to my room even if she wasn't my assigned nurse. She handled my beat up and impossible to find veins like she had a road map. She was also a total smartass and I loved it when I actually had her for my nurse. I saw her take on more than one doctor too when needed in order to provide the patient proper care. I have no doubt that one doctor in particular saved my life back then and many others contributed. I also have no doubt that without that crew of nurses on Barnes 6th - I would have been as dead as Igor's liver.

Pay no attention to @wchnu. He's all bark and no bite. He's actually a cuddly teddy bear...a little misguided with the Williams soap and the no blooming rule...but we can't all be perfect.

 

No fun with the crimson. First shave for me, a little iffy on the BoS aroma. However, 5 or so shaves with it now, it’s really nice. Hard to compete with my Sandalwood and Fougere addiction, but BoS is one I’ll repurchase once it runs out.

For my reply to that, I should just rubber-stamp what you said, with just a few whiteouts!! Let's see where I am 5 shaves in. And you're right-it is no Sandalwood.

I love nurses with an attitude. The one and only time I was in the hospital...every morning the nurse asked me if I had a BM. Well, one day I smiled and asked her if she read about my success on the front page of the newspaper. She didn't miss a beat and dead-panned right back to me, "Yes, and I heard it was a big blow out." Then she walked out. I think she invented the mic drop.

I saw a performance of Showboat while living in Washington. The guy who sang "Old Man River" had such strength and meaning in his voice, it blew the roof off the place(or came close lol)! I should say that "the place" was the JFK Center For The Performing Arts.

Glad to hear the MRI went well with the exception of the IV. I hope the results come back with something quick and easy to fix.
