I'll have to watch those videos again tomorrow before i shave and pay more attention. Thanks!

I actually like it already, possibly even more than my synthetic one. Only negative i can think of, is that it takes a really long time to dry out properly.

I like it, pairs really well with most blades i have tried in it.
Easy to grip too, even with larger hands.

You might try using your off hand and stretch the skin tighter as well. This will allow you to get a close shave without as much buffing.

Badgers and boars naturally take longer to dry because they hold water that much better than synthetics. I hasten the drying process by using paint strokes on a dry towel and then hang it upside down on a stand.

hello Daniel.most of the "must have" great shaving gillettes are quite inexpensive and readily available..the really pretty and rare ones don't shave that differently..when you decide to get into gillette stock..an old type, a new open comb,a tech if you like mild,a superspeed, red tip if you like more efficient, and an adjustable if you like knobs and gadgets, are the basic must try/haves..

    I'll experiment with it!

I don't have a stand, but i do the paint stroke thing on a towel too. And i store the brush outside of the bathroom, seems to dry out faster that way.

Techs and superspeeds are the most interesting ones to me, no need for anything rare (i would just baby it too much) or complicated

I have been looking on the finnish websites, but i haven't really found anything worth buying, exept my slim twist. It is in really good condition, no idea how old it is, but i feel like it was worth the 15€ i paid for it.

    Baume.Be~~Rubberset 400/3~~Friodur~~Floïd Blue
Three days growth and I was looking really ragged.
The freshly honed Friodur gave me probably the best SR shave to-date.

So good, that I am seriously contemplating going to an "every fourth day shave"
Smeared some Baume.Be on my whiskers and built a stupendous lather with my Rubberset.
Lots of water was necessary to bring the lather to readiness.
This was also the first straight shave, in which I was able to make long strokes successfully.
Wonderful finish with the Floïd Blue.
