Not much beard for me to reduce, thus I go for the perfectly smooth. But, good advice from you nevertheless. :)

I sometimes bloom soaps just to get a preshave and not to make it easier to load the brush. Today was no exception. I have to say that my Stirling boar does not disappoint in loading the soap and face-lathering it. The RR Classic really has a nice almond scent and provides a nice cushiony lather. When I first used this soap, I wasn't impressed, but now that I got it dialed in, it is pretty good. So, I learned to hold off bad judgements on shaving products until a few shaves. Did my normal number of passes and buffed along the way and really got a super BBS shave without any traces of crimson paint and without any irritation. Applied Old Spice AS to end this soothing and pleasant shave.
    Have a wonderful Sunday guys! 20190915_092937.jpg 20190915_092937.jpg

Great looking shave Daniel. You have a very good lineup to learn the technique. In the beginning I found focusing on the process and technique instead of the results helped. As you master the technique the results will follow. You're off to a great start.

I decided to change things up a little today. First I went with the Cobra Classic razor. Secondly, I decided to bowl lather the Speick shave cream. One change was a hit and the other not so much. The results of bowl lathering were good but completely unsatisfying. A big part my enjoyment with wet shaving is the different feel of various brushes face lathering. So bowl lathering will go to the back of the line. Three passes, touch ups and buffing the my lower right neck ended in a near perfect shave. I did make an error placing the razor just below my nose. Going to fast with this blade exposure ended in a nice small nick. That will teach me to slow down and pay attention. A splash of Myrsol Balsamica and I am ready for a relaxing day cooking. Planning on some stuff Hatch Green Chilis for dinner along with some cold adult beverages. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

You'll get there. Like any new skill it takes a little time to commit it to muscle memory. That is really the idea behind the 3o day rule.

    No shave today.

The rash is still here and i thought i would give it a days rest from shaving today.

    Back on it tomorrow.

I am not sure what has caused it. Perhaps using soap as a pre-shave?

Dunno. I will figure it out.

I would suggest putting witchhazel or Vaseline to hasten the healing.
