    Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood SC
    Darwin 2 band badger
    Filarmonica 5/8
    PAA Star Jelly AS
    AoS Sandalwood and Cypress Cologne

3 pass DFS+. 5:30am shave, just getting to TSD. @wristwatchb & 1 day prime enablement. T&H Sandalwood SC delivered late yesterday, wifey declared it an instant favorite before it was completely open. This morning, the Darwin 2 band badger made incredible lather, rich and thick, yogurty in texture and appearance, no loft degradation (on face or in bowl) as I shaved. Supremely slick....reminded me of when I get the lather/water combo right with C&F. The Filly did see 10 laps each on a pasted strop, CrOx linen, then leather. Much better than yesterday. Smooth, no skipping or hopping, just audible cutting and all business. 3 pass nick free, irritation free shave today. Followed with PAA Star Jelly AS (unscented), then a spritz of the AoS. 8 hours later, still a great hydrated face feeling, and catching whiffs of the AoS mixture.

Hope everyone had a great morning, and has a great rest of today! Will catch up with ogling the pretty hardware and reading this evening.

  17. That's interesting, Keith. I've always heard straight razors referred to as either carbon steel or stainless steel. There must be different carbon and stainless alloys/heat treatment methods if some razors hold an edge better than others. Are you aware of such differences? I'm inclined to think that specifying a certain alloy or heat treatment could be part of what makes a custom razor special.

In the knife world, there seems to be all sorts of steel (and even super steel) alloys.

  18. Thanks Jason..............with Williams you have to load it like you stole, don't expect the lather to last long and the scent is not that great but it is cheap! :happy102: I have to use it every now and then to keep Fuzzy @wchnu at bay.

  19. Thank you, Danny! Yes, it's awfully hot. It was terrible yesterday with our band event. 100F and didn't cool off much even when the sun went down. Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be in the upper 80s, so a little relief.
  20. Great shave and I love the black and white picture. The arrangment is nice..............orderly.
