i smear a bit of croap/cream into bowl so its a thin layer.damp brush and add water as needed.i over watered a loaded bowl once because of water held near the bases of a synthetic brush..didn't get all the water with a shake...anyhow any soft soap cream is predictable and slick lather easily built with a damp brush..just me..i load hard soaps with a damp brush to puck.then transfer to the bowl .soft water here as well.bath soap lathers well here.

 

I am now one razor short of a No Repeat November through the generosity of Andrew @Linuxguile. He sent me a Schick E3 that's awaiting rescue from the mailbox. I'll have to check but I think I can use a different blade for 29 of the 30 shaves. I have two Gem style razors but only one brand of Gem blades.

I might have to buy more aftershaves next month, winter is coming and i need to stock up on balms. I'll probably buy the proraso green asb and been thinking of trying tabac (maybe soap too), as i like the scent of the splash

1100 posts behind. Wow! Been a crazy week so far. Dog got away( we got her back) , hockey started for my daughter, and today we went to see an NHL morning skate between Montreal and Florida. And I'm still busy on the house .... soon need to get a few things done on my own place before cold sets in.We won the Kraft Hockeyville this year and all the players in the area received free tickets for the practice. Roberto Luongo played down here before he hit the big leagues. St.Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen is from this province also. We love our hockey.
Now onto the shaving ...this morning I cleaned off 3 days of scruff with and ran out the door . In lieu of a shaving pic , I'll post a couple from our trip to the rink. Have a great evening gents!
