The Logan picture brings me back to when I was in my car with my nephew(maybe Declan's age at the time), who wanted to drive the car himself and wouldn''t take no for an answer. Boy, was I glad when his mommy came out to rescue me!!.
Beautiful picture, Mark! The Atomic Rocket looks great with that knot! Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
And now....it's time once again for......the FEERRRIDAY FILES! -Y'know, I never took courses in business, economics, marketing, or budgeting, throughout my schooling,. Here at TSD you get a little of all of that. For instance, as I get prepared to buy my Bill Neumann&Co, soap(I'll do it probably next year), I look at the fact that $28 gets you 8 oz. of soap. Yes, might be a lot of money, but that half-pounder will be around in my den for a loooooooooong time. And the one I want has some lovely ingredients in it. -Badger&Blade has some very positive reviews on the Burma Shave Cake Soap, which was quite encouraging. Not that I NEEDED encouragement, because I was pleased with my first(and only so far)shave with it. As I said yesterday, I'll bring it out again next week, when the temperature should dip from the Indian Summer that's here now. -I'm tired of seeing men with beards that drop all the way down to their hearts(or worse, abdomens). I really hope this isn't supposed to be a new trend. Well, the heck with it if it is, because you won't see MEE doing that.I was never one to "go with the flow" in that regard("c'mon Paul, everyone else is doing it!").
Thanks Perry! That's a great story too! Once when I was a kid I was sitting in my dad's truck parked on on the top of a small hill and he was outside of the truck for some reason and I knocked it out of gear and it rolled down the hill and I remember him running to catch the truck and stop it. Well, YOU can say that, but...it was headache time for me. But I've loved watching him grow. Graduated from college this past May.
I'm not his dad, of course, but a word of "warning" when he DOES get his permit....don't take him up the Big Thompson Canyon road for practice...let alone Trail Ridge Road. (Both in Rocky Mtn, National Park). But I didn't have to say that, right? ))
Missed a day of posting/catching up. Busy yesterday. Yesterday's shave was with a Hoshi Tombo 8000 Kamisori, along with AoS SC and AS. Sept 20th Proraso PS Red PAA CK6 Bay Rum SS WWB 28mm w/Zenith Knot Puma 5/8 'Puma Special' PAA Bay Rum AS 3 pass DFS+. Very nice and rewarding shave today. Almost would call this a BBS- shave. The Puma Special saw the usual routine of pasted strop, linen w/CrOx, and then bridle leather strop. Very smooth shaving razor, extremely sharp this go round, could barely tell the difference in this shave and most shaves I accomplish with a DE. No nicks or shenanigans. The PAA CK6 Bay Rum and WWB/Zenith....lives up to the usual CK6 performance (yogurty slick, if not slicker, than anything in my den). The aroma is definitely as it's labeled, Atomic. Wow. In your face, you know this is serious Bay Rum, both from the shave cream aroma and when following up with the matching AS. No clove, no powder...it's barrel aged BAY RUM. Almost 6 hours later, either I put too much on (the dogs don't care), or it's some AS longevity in a bottle. Hope everyone is having a Fantastic Friday!
