    Monday SEptember 23rd SOTN

    I got around to trying out the TNNSER tonight and it's crazy how comfortable yet efficient it is at such little weight. I traditionally favor heavier razors and will often add a heavier handle to even many vintage razors. I may try that at some point just for something different but I doubt it's needed.

    To you guys for the time and effort creating this interesting razor. Enjoy your Tuesdays all.

    I was thinking (as one does) about the software to use with my GFBT last night and went through a number of options. In my indecision, i thought that the way the GFBT shaves should dictate the soap and to this end, i wanted something with a little less cushion than the OS or the P&B used previously. The Lime Soap caught my eye. It is a bit of a sleeper soap this one. It may look ordinary but used correctly, it is fantastic and has a unique (Glycerine?) lather which doesn't get hinder the shave at all. The GFBT is itself, quite the unique razor and has a shaving experience quite like no other i have used. I was using it today and thought to myself that it would be a superb beginners razor. It is very well mannered and i would be struggling to cut myself with it, but it has a very tight shave angle. For a trainer razor, this will get you zoned into angle/pressure very well whilst being gentle when you miss the sweet spot. However, when you do hit the sweet spot, you get a typically English, close smooth shave.

    Indeed, quite a wonderful and in-sync shave was had with this set up. No AS today. I used some distilled witch hazel instead.

    Are you sure that is a synthetic? Looks like an Omega 10019 Boar to me.
    I say this, because i don't see them too often and i was going to ask how you get on with it!
