September 2019 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

I had a sample of Gentleman splash a while back, probably more than two years ago. I tried some on the back of my hand and didn't care for it. I remember telling Jared (PickledNorthern) about that and he said the initial scent was not near to the goodness of the dry down. So we'll see.

The good thing is that most soap scents wash clean, in my experience. Then aftershave can cover up or keep it going depending on if you want to match or not.

 

Crazy morning this AM. Had to be at work early than normal. 4 hours of work and 5 meetings.

Razor: Gem Micromatic
Blade: Gem stainless
Brush: Omega S-Brush
Soap: Stirling MITA
PS: Proraso
AS: Proraso

Much better shave today. I am not sure if I just had better texhnique or if the Micromatic is just a little more solid of a razor, but this shave went much better.

Not too much if just mailing a letter with some blades inside. They don't seem to be on the proscribed list.

I shave before my shower so the soap scent gets completely washed away. Gentleman aftershave is by far the longest lasting aftershave I have. All day and into the night I catch whiffs of it. I was unsure about it at first but the more I use it the more I like it.

My water is extremely hard but I installed a water softener shortly after we moved in. Before the water softener shampoo and body soap wouldn't lather at all.

 

We just think differently. I'm not going to beat this up any more. I've wetshaved for several years now and just tried to express that blades have meant less and less for me as the years have gone on. You disagree and that's fine. I'm moving on.
