:signs011: We get the drips from the pot on the first cup too. Our brewing basked sits on a plate or paper towel near the coffee pot while it dries - not very elegant (well, I suppose it is elegant for our neck of the woods :) ), but functional nonetheless.

Probably a fairly safe bet buying the best selling one.
Free coffee is usually great. As far as the drip machines go, simple models are the best. I walked into a store, checked out many different ones and decided to buy the Bosch, as it was the easiest one to clean. Around once a year i dissolve some citric acid to water and run that through it.

The Black and Decker must be a great value then!

Jon...plays fast and loose with engineering data, thin skin, avoidance of crisps and beer, reluctant to bloom soaps, can only use certain DE blades under a full moon...and now the lanolin allergies. Is there anything else we need to know? :happy102:

Another razor that went for honing Tuesday night. It had a very small 'blemish' (wavy distortion) in the blade edge from touching a brush handle when I set it down on my 3rd shave with it. Ouch. I waited awhile to hone it, as I wanted more honing time from my other razors, before tackling this blade. The DD is an extra full hollow (think anorexic grind, like a Feather DE blade). It literally 'pings' almost like china when touched or as it cuts. Wow....very difficult & tedious honing. Just moving it/holding it on the hone, and the blade flexes, seriously flexes. It's also a slight smile, so it can't just go up and down the hones. Doubly difficult. Have to use a Rolling X pattern, as seen in this video from Lewis Razor -Smiling Straight Razor Honing. I only needed 16 laps on the Shapton 12k to clear the edge blemish. Looked at the blemish area with a loupe after every 2 passes. Followed with a handful of laps on the pasted stop progression, and another handful of laps on bridle leather strop. Easily passed the @gssixgun hair topping and shaving test. I purchased this razor back in June from @Keithmax

3 pass DFS. Not quite a DFS+ today, still learning this razor. Extremely light, very audible & flexy as it swipes. The toe is quite pointy & sharp. Requires a great amount of concentration and very little pressure to get it's business done. The PAA CK6 formula...the usual awesome slickery facial experience, easily whipped up with the @jtspartan 2019 30DC handle and Omega 10098 knot. Another day of overloading the brush, using lots of water resulted in tons of lather, easily 4-5 passes worth. Followed with the matching PAA Supreme Sandalwood AS. No feedback. Feeling pretty smooth and smelling great for a Thursday.

Hope everyone has a Great Day!

I got chocolate syrup on my left leg, sock & shoe, pants, and recliner yesterday. Some would say I'm clumsy. I would say it was a nice birthday. ;)

Thanks Gary.....when we get into mid October, I figure that will be time to go to my soaps for the balance of my shaves. Could be earlier than that. But the Gillette Foamy and Barbasol will always stand ready for use too. I'm coming close to the end of my Rise Superfoam-my last can from an order that included 9. As many will tell you, that has been my favorite of the "canned shaves" over the years.
