Modern Williams? I'll look around and see if anyone's still stocking it. Used to at Fred's but they closed the local stores. If I can find it I'll trade you for something you can get locally for one Dollar / Euro? The shipping will cost more than the product but I like trading!

Thanks for the resource Charlie! I liked her video, and saved the address.
When my grandmother passed away, it took a while but I convinced dad and his two sisters to meet up and get their heirlooms out of the unoccupied house. They did, and I moved in and began repairs since it has sat empty for a dozen years. One of the items they left was an old cast iron frying pan. I cleaned it up, seasoned it, and put it to use. One day I saw the same brand available on the bay. Griswold makes great cornbread!
Yup. I've collected a set of just about any size and shape I could find. One of my favorites is the right for a slice of bread, square and 3/4" deep. Perfect for a dollop of butter and two eggs to make breakfast sandwiches.
I do use stainless more often. Got away from aluminum for the connection to Alzheimer's.
I used to joke about Teflon Poisoning. Turns out if you over heat a coated pan it happens just like I thought.
Works in th oven, too. If you don't mind a little smoke in the house.
I haven't tried the ceramic coated cast iron. They look nice but I've a set of commercial style stainless steel utensils that might chip a delicate surface. I'm not using plastic tool on my stove.

Stainless is great, works very well, even the cheaper ones. I have a 28cm Swiss diamond (disc bottom, works well on electric but could be tricky with a gas stove) and 24cm one from Ikea, neither of them was expensive. And both will last a long time.
My mess kit is aluminium, but i don't use it that often, so i'm not that concerned about it.

Coffee is far less likely to be bitter when made strong.

I agree. $25 is a lot to spend to get fresh perfect coffee every cup.

Water is less likely to be called coffee, when you make it weak.

My Ex left behind a set of Wolfgang Puck SS with the thick bottoms. They work very well on a gas stove. I've always enjoyed cooking with a gas rangetop. The visual of flame is instinctual whereas electric is guess work for me.
Good for you on saving money. I have no idea how much I spent on her late night Home Shopping Network purchases. The division of property was easy. Her clothes in her car and away she went. I kept everything else.
Oh, it's that good? Got my tabs cleared now - who makes it? Might save money in the long run if the grand kids don't drink my brew! I might start using the cast iron tea kettle...

Don't know the brand, but thick bottom is good. Most stoves in Finland are electric, i'm used to that. You will just have to use the stove a few times to know how it works. Mine changes temps very slowly, so i'll have to adjust the temp way before i would need to with gas. Or use two "burners". And i can turn the whole thing off before i've actually finished cooking, as it takes so long to cool down.
I can do pretty much all the prep while the pan is heating up.
I'm trying, but i want another brush and a razor or two couldn't hurt.. :D
Oh god the shopping network.. I'm glad at least that part of it was easy.

The enameled cast iron works great for making things like chilli and stuff like that.
Get the better stuff, the cheap stuff goes bad.

I just got a sleeve of Astra Superior Platinum, and a half rack of Gillette Silver Blues. I do have an unopened tuck of Feathers but I'm not sure if it's 5 or 10 blades. The sad part is mailing this stuff costs more that buying it. Someone else might have it here in stock, too. Let's hold off a minute because I saw Jon @BlueShaver posting a photo of M.Williams in The Haul...

CBD balm worked wonders for my backs and gives Maya some relief with her hip. My physical therapist and doctor recommended I give it a try.
