    FRIDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Jean-Louis Sieuzac & Michel Almairac
    [IMG] [IMG]

Razor - West Coast Shaving Midnight Collection 84B
Blade - Treet Carbon Steel *4th Shave
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
    Lather Bowl by Royal Shave
Shave Brush - RichMan Shaving "Lava Flow Red"
Preshave Soap - PAA Cube with Dock
Shaving Soap - The Shaving Shop "The Deal Maker" *Discontinued
    Aftershave - Dior Fahrenheit
    Deodorant - Dior Fahrenheit
    Fragrance - Dior Fahrenheit

***EDIT - 2 passes + clean up. BBS. Zero irritation. No weepers, creepers or sleepers. I credit the PAA Cube with this good shave. It increased the protection and glide of the base of the 2-3 year old Shave Shop formula. The lathering was fun. Half bowl/half face lather. I took my time and perfected the hydration before putting the blade to work. And the WCS razor with a Treet blade is a combo I never see talked about. It not only looks great with the match black but seems like they are made for each other. Super-smooth. Mild/mid range aggression. One of the easiest and most intuitive razors I have shaved with and it's really cool looking and it's under $20???? Yeah, I highly recommend this razor at this point. It's provided great shaves for me.

The shave went so good that I decided to finish the shave with a splash of Thayers mentholated Witch Hazel then the Fahrenheit aftershave then the PAA Mysterium Serum just to put more insurance on the outcome. The post-shave feel is superb and my skin feels super comfortable. My skin often over-reacts to everything but today I got lucky that the shave went perfect from start to finish.

And last, but just as important, the scent of Fahrenheit is awesome.

    Friday Early Morning SOTD

I decided to pick up a oneblade genesis and give it a whirl - easy returns if it doesn't shave my stiff beard . I was so eager to try it out right away that I set everything aside (in the spare bathroom) to use after getting home after my shift ended at 3am.

I agree with others - fairly simple to obtain the correct shave angle. I'll need a couple more shaves to get the hang of it, but it's interesting to say the least. A pleasant surprise is the soft lavender scent of the soap and AS balm. I'll fall asleep in no time . Happy shaves!

    Josh

An All American Tribute to A.S.S*
    Razor: Gillette Slim
    Soap Williams Mug
    Blades: Personna
    Brush: Shave Factory Boar

The Williams Mug Soap arrived last night and i wanted to get a shave with it before the Fat-tober lock-in. Ideally it would have been Wednesday, but October starts on Tuesday so....
This soap is a shaving legend (for good or bad reasons!) and i have been desperate to try it. I found a free shipping deal (?!) on Ebay and for $3 i ain't complaining. This is the Tallow 1st version if anyone is at all interested.
I won't do a review of it here though. (Certainly not after just 1 use!)
So what better to pair with my 1st American shaving soap than my other American shaving stuff, and including the 1st safety razor i bought which was from Andrews Shave Shop (A.S.S.). The Brush is a re-badged Omega and the Blades are made under licence in Israel but those are minor details.
1st pass on 4 with the 'Slim. Dry loaded the Williams and went at it with the face lathering. No bother getting a lather, but i see where the complaints come from about the lather disappearing. You can't hang around with it lol. 2nd pass on 4 and then the last pass on 6 with the Slim. Back to the puck with the Williams as i figured i would rather have a thick lather than a disappearing one. Not a bad shave, not my best either. It takes me a few revolutions on a new razor to get it dialled in properly. I can't just warp into new gear and expect it to work faultlessly (Part of the reason why i like to stick with a set up for the life of the blade). I got a very close shave. Perhaps too close as my skin is a little sore. I am sensitive to a sharp shave and i might dial down the slim for the next time. (this isn't a TTT thing either, i really am sensitive to a sharp shave and blade)
This soap is sli-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ck. Wow. The residual post-shave slickness is ridiculous. You almost don't need the lather. I have never used anything like it lol. I think this would be good to use on a focus for a week or two to get to grips with it. I suspect it is a soap you need to really load up on for the lather to stay put.
This soap is the dating equivalent of a drunken one night stand; Cheap, doesn't smell the best, doesn't look the best, is hard to get, has trouble staying firm and needs lots of work, but if used correctly can be super slickery when wet and is capable of a great ride :)
I am concerned about the scent though. It is quite strong (more so than Arko) and i will have to watch out for any reaction/sensitivity.
    Happy shaves All :)

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Barbasol Original Shaving Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 Brush. I did two passes with the Ebarbershop Schick O Clone razor with a Schick Twin Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

No chance: the Wholly Kaw and my face are not compatible. Very curious!

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Gillette day 7
    Godrej Menthol Mist SC
    Prep ASB
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

I think it’s been over a year since the last time I used this Godrej cream so I figured it was time to go with it this morning. I enjoyed the scent which reminds me a lot of Aqua Velva as well as the super rich lather, and the nice menthol punch which really intensified on the second pass. A good massage with the Prep and a couple of splashes of the Aqua Velva and I’m ready for the day. Smooth as smooth could be but this blade is ready for the garbage can.

    Have a great weekend!
