Full Frame 35mm DSLRs hit pixel density (interpreted as 1:1 ratio of a pixel on a sensor to a film grain) to match 35mm film (at 100ISO) about 8-10 years ago depending on the manufacturer. It gets a little diluted due to marketing pixel math of proprietary sensor development. DLSRs are now a fancy computer with a lens, IOW. Thanks for all the kind words on today's shave!
SOTD Stirling SEptember 27th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap RazoRock SS Hawk V1 Schick Proline P-30 Stirling Butterscotch Finest fan (24mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Autumn Glory soap The Blades Grim "Smolder" AS Busy day today as we get ready for a software upgrade that will get pushed out over the weekend. My shave this morning was absolutely phenomenal! First use of an AC style razor. The Proline blade was so sharp that I couldn't detect any sensation that it was actually cutting the whiskers. I even went ATG on my neck which I normally don't do because it's uncomfortable. Very happy with this purchase. Have a great day and weekend my friends! TGIF! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Thanks, Joe. I made a few of them a couple of years ago, they were meant to somewhat match the 30DC LE brushes that some of the folks on here got. I raffled one off and then a few other folks asked for one on top of that. Brian, Andrew and Randy have one for sure, can't remember who else.
TGIF! Play-doh cookies! Awesome. Sounds like a great shave. For whatever reason, I found it really interesting and surprising that this was your first AC blade shave...not sure why, maybe because you have a very extensive razor collection and/or you sell the blades in your store. That Autumn Glory scent has really grown on me as well, tbh. I got the sample splash with a bunch of others in a trade and was very 'meh' at first, but now I really enjoy it.
That's Jason! I tried resisting falling down the AC rabbit hole. Then an opportunity came to came to snag a rare SS hawk for a great price and I just couldn't resist. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
TGIF!!! Great shave and pictures, Andrew! Congrats on your first AC shave! Logan is looking good! He's a busy guy.
Great shave! I am honored that you pass tribute to my A.S.S. with your shave! You know you don't have to be "in the theme" to post here right? Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Gents, thanks for the feedback. You've got me thinking not to do anything with them. I'll noodle on it for a few days and let you know. I'm not stuck on retaining their value, history, etc. since these razors are fairly common. They will be used and not placed on a shelf. Good question, Jason. Thank you. I will have to ask Chris at RazorPlate. Thanks guys. I dropped off the kit at my friend's office this afternoon. He was over the moon with everything, he thought the soap (Executive Man) smelled great, and he said he was going to shave with the FB tonight. That made me really happy. I encouraged him to holler if he has any questions. If not, I'll see him on Sunday and find out how he's doing. For future reference and being on a fixed income, I like free places to stay in Florida and free ice cream too. Will I need to bring my own hairnet for a plant tour? Thank you, Terry. I'll take all the help and Grandpa's coffee I can get, Terry. You are a hoot, my friend. This place would not be the same without you.
