The adjustables are more aggressive on the higher settings than any super speed. Having owned all these the Slim is slightly more aggressive than a Fat Boy on the same settings. I found a Slim set on 7 is roughly equivalent to a Fat Boy set on 8.

It depends. When there are plenty of examples out there then restoration isn't really destroying the historical record as long as a few examples are kept original and available for reference. When you only have one piece then it is question of do you need to restore it to preserve it or not. In the case of razors I don't think it matters because what is important is the head geometry of the razor in how it works since it is a tool and that can be easily reproduced with modern methods. Unless you are looking at from an art perspective then maybe this point of view doesn't apply.

The VC1/2/3/4 models are mild in comparison to the earlier models.

    Get a B1/2 or VB1
These are easy enough to find on Ebay. I'd recommend an A1 if you can find one for sale also.

It shaved the rest beautifully. I think my arm or wrist went out of spec and I set down with wrong approach angle . My mind was somewhere else at that moment. Ive shaved my head with the OC, E2 , the infamous Rapira and a few other agressive devices without incident.
