Agreed. @jmudrick that is a beautiful Schick. Been looking for one for quite awhile now. Sent from my BND-L34 using Tapatalk
SEptemper 28 What the heck, I did some more tweaking to my C1 Valet Auto-strop to the gap. The brass is so malleable on this Canadian version that I was able to straighten and tighten up the standard .011 thousands gap to about .007-.008 thousands of a inch. Installed a new modified Gem SS PTFE blade and let it go once more with a 3 pass shave with a clean up. It was amazing shave for closeness but it does cut whiskers very close to the skin and irritation did go up on this shave and my shave was very much smoother as compared to other trial shaves with my C1 Auto-strop. Razor: Valet Autostrop C1 open comb version,MFG 1928-35's Blade: GEM Personna SS PTFE (1) modified blade corners trimmed to fit the Auto-strop blade holder! Soap : Italian barber Amici Brush: Yaki 24 mm Tuxedo knot Preshave : brush washed face with CeraVe soap + Aloe vera gel Post shave : Alum block + cold water wash Post shave : I.B Amici A.S + witch hazel + Nivea balm Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum block indicated a increase from normal irritation(over shaved ?) + 2 small blemish weepers = Have some great shaves!
Blackland Vector Feather Pro Super This may be one of my last summery shaves and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Smooth Shaves to one and all.
Schick Type L8, personna blade, shave 4 I am designating this as an L8 and not L1v1/2 because of packaging. It may look like a gold plated L1 but this razor was actually sold as a Schick Golden in 1977 and 1978 and as such should have it's own designation. Ad from the Lancaster Eagle Gazette Jan 12th 1978 This razor is by far the mildest injector I've used so far even more mild than the Type O and Type O clone. Shave was closer than the Type O razor though not a BBS but better than some of the earlier more aggressive but on the mild side I and J injectors like the I1v3 and J2 for example.

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap Jayaruh #224 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Vintage Gem Cutlery SE CWS Barbasol AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 Brush. I did two passes with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
How do you like the British Leather? Beautiful road shaves. The Hussy is smooth and not over aggressive. A real pleasure to use. A twin in an E2???? Why molest that beauty? It does not need any help to give awesome shaves.
So I am behind again. I have cleaned most of the pictures off my phone. I did have a veddy nice push button shave the other day.
