@Linuxguile Update on the Grooming Dept Fortis soap usage. A total of 10 uses, 1 test lather and 9 shaves, all using a CH2 synthetic brush used 37g of soap out. So a 5 oz puck would likely last me around my normal 30-40 shaves which has been my typical rate with artisan soaps.
Fantastic shave reports and photos Gentlemen! Its been a bust day of cleaning up little issues that cropped up during the software upgrade over the weekend, Thanks for the update, Clint!
SOTD September 30th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap RazoRock SS DLC Lupo Gillette Winner (4) Doug Korn Stubby (35mm, Carrier Class) B&M Fougere Angelique soap and AS Last shave of the month and I used neither Stirling or an SE. As I get ready to embark on a month of The Fat and OC razors I really wanted to get in a shave with my new B&M soap and SS Lupo. This was my first use of a B&M reserve based soap. It was crazy how the lather was sticky and stringy while loading and then turning into a shiny slick goopy lather as I worked in lots of water. The Lupo is a very efficient razor and after two passes I was near BBS. A few touch-ups were all that was needed to bring the baby home. A splash of the AS for a classy lime forward finish. Have a great evening my friends! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Very nice, Andrew! That Reserve base is some different stuff. I always start off with a wetter than usual brush when I use it to avoid the sticky, stringy stage. I hope you're all caught up at work.
The World Wide Williams authorities reject your experience as invalid. One of the reasons I have no need to try it.
Maybe I said that wrong, Rick. My allergies make it hard for me to smell things, so if it’s lightly scented, I can hardly detect any scent at all. That’s why I prefer strongly scented soaps.
