Mr. Cawtuh, that's funny you mention that classic. I was going to have the Smithsonian event members(for the Charlie/Clubman dinner)watch Who's On First as an opener for The WHO, then, as I said, make my exit as I'm not a WHO fan.

Charlie, I just got off the phone with the Smithsonian, and two seats at the table in the very last row are reserved for you and Cathy. Binoculars and table speakers will be free, if needed.

Thanks Paul. I'm glad we're sitting by the door. Can you imagine sitting somewhere in the center of a room surrounded by hundreds of Clubman-infused geezers? :D

Well, I ALMOST "enabled" myself, but it appears I got in too late for the $3.00 off offer. The heck with that. And it was going to be a Stoylin too(but not from Doc Ezlovan's website).

I thought it was interesting that the Clubman, AARP, and Piggly Wiggly conventions were all being held in town the same weekend.

We'll pack an extra Airwick for you.

Well, see, that's why I'm just doing the Keynote and walking out-so I can make an appearance at Piggly that very same night, and AARP the next night. PIgly's going to be at the Kennedy Center 4 The Performing Arts.

I hate to get in the middle of all these high level meetings, but I have a shave related question.

A TSD Member who shall remain nameless, unless he chooses to be Enabled first hand, asked if I would recommend a modern DE or SE in the $100 range. I'm a fifteen dollar vintage kind of guy so I drew a blank. Anyone care to offer suggestions in the medium to aggressive range?

Great suggestion Jim. I would add the Supply Co SE with the 2 dot plate which is standard. That comes in at $79.

    Opon Comb OCtober

I have exactly one open comb razor. It ain't much, but it is mine and it shaves well. I think it is a New SC.

Usually I would use this with a one and done blade. I have never used a Feather in this piece, can't figure why. Even though I've seen folks around that consider Feathers one and done (ahem @Terry) I hang with this till this blade gives up the ghost.

In honor of Hi being on first, the Jayaruh 367 came out. Hmm, wonder if Hu got his base hit on the stubby end of my brush?

The Blue Ming came around a little miffed cause I said soap blooming is not a necessity. After listening to him whine on, I had to explain that in this world there are folks just not secure enough to put water on their soap. So we went happily on.

Everybody has heard me rant about Stirling Blood on Steel. Yup, still the best.

The old Gillette is a tad more to my liking with a Feather. Left me a little scritchy where I went sideways on my neck, no lasting negative though. Wish I could make that sideways move open edge. Great 3 passers, with, across, against.

Seen some real fine open comb shavers. I almost feel depressed showing mine.

Have a great one. Shave free.

Yup, I forgot about that one.
Another that would come in under budget are the Razorock Game Changers. There is also the Timeless Aluminum if that's something that would interest our mysterious friend.
