Just got my Turkish shave bowl in!!

So it would only be right to use. Turkish soap for its 1st use.

Bowl: Turkish copper hammered shave bowl.
Aftershave: Epsilon Mediterranean blue

Well, how did it lather? I left my Turkish Bowl at the house with my wife. Used it on vacation to make some of the finest lathers.

I just rubbed some Derby stick around the rigid hammered area and the bottom of the bowl. It was enough lather for a quick work day 3 pass shave. The lather was really slick and the post shave feel seemed better too.


Look forward to using it this weekend when I have a little more time to play around with it.

What I also like is the peace of mind. That if it slips out of my hand, it won't break. Lost my very first shave bowl to that.

I do the same with the stick. Rub it around the bowl and best lather ever.

New blade, new razor!

No dawdling today, it was swish-swosh and out the gap.
My (perhaps) favorite razor and blade coupled with a very usable boar brush and Derby cream.
The cream is possibly a bit better than Arko in that is has a nice mild scent and doesn't have no toilet-puck stank!.
Its a great performer as well. Every bit as good as Arko comfort if not a little slicker (perhaps).

No baby today but i am moving on from that daily quest tbh. I find the fluffing and buffing a little too harsh with my stiff stubble and all.
