Aramis appeared to make its "entry" in the late 70's..some college friends were using it and I'd never heard of it.

Thank you. It is from a limited run I did for TOST last year. @twhite made the ferrules and a disk denoting TOST 1918 for the bottom. Ace synthetic knot tops it off.

    Gillette Senator Razor
    Astra SP Blade
    Certifyd #5 (modified) Boar Brush
    Klar Shave Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel w/Orange
    Aqua Velva Musk After Shave

First, this brush had longer bristles and was quite floppy. I knew I'd have to put a new knot on it eventually, but decided to trim the top off of this one. I tightened the knot, removed about 5/8" while taking my time and constantly rotating it until I was satisfied on it's look. I also decided to try it out on my hardest soap. It now has a fan type look to it and the question is, is it less floppy. And yes it is, and until I change it, this will work out fine. Two passes with a little touch up for a very smooth BBS shave.

    Razor: Blackland Sabre Gem L1
    Blade: Personna GEM (4)
Brush: El Druida Red Heart Chakte Kok/African Blackwood 2 Band
    Soap: Oleo Pucker
    Cologne: Vicky Tiel Ulysse
Bowl: Symmetrical Pottery Dottie Blue & Lt. Purple Bowl

This is an excellent with a great blade. The ability to be able to have a less aggressive shave by using the L 1 base plate is outstanding. This El Druida brush is in my top five (5), it would be difficult to choose a number one (1). The soap is good with a great lemon smell during the shave very prevalent.
The Vicky Tiel Cologne is strong, not for the shy of heart. Used properly it is a great scent that lasts a long time. It has the same effect as when you walk by someone and there is hint of a great scent in the air. Just a quick spray and our are ready to go.
A two (2) pass BBS for sure today. Made my day.
Ulysse by Vicky Tiel Cologne. Every day is an adventure when you wear the fragrance for men called Ulysse. This bold, masculine scent debuted in 1998, launched by designer Vicky Tiel. You do not have to traverse the globe to enjoy its exotic blend of aromatic essences, which include the citrus zest of neroli, yuzu and mandarin orange plus a refreshing hint of lime. Mignonette lends a rich herbal note for balance.

Nice photo and good choices. I've always been fascinated with the Amish since my first college-smack in the middle of Amish territory.

You're welcome Doug. Actually, I left that college after the first year. But not because of the Amish.

I went to a boarding school in Kitchener which was located in Amish country. There was also a large German population. They made some great food not to mention beer.
