This took a month of effort, but came close to doubling my monthly best on a bike. Just over 60 hours of riding time, half of which was on a loaded bike weighing roughly 55lbs. 585.82 miles / 937,3 km Here's my favorite of the month. Enjoy your day.
I wish I had the time , and a safe location, to ride my bike every day. If I did not have so much gear, I would ride to work.
great job; hey less than fifteen miles and you can break 600 miles today. But honestly sir, that is amazing!
That was the plan, but unfortunately my body was yelling at me this morning. I am hoping to be able to get out after work if it isn't raining. Either way, I am close to double my normal effort. Thanks!
My day off. So, I got my youngest up, ready for school, and at school before 7 am, for her Cross Country training. I then went to the gym, and had a moderate workout. After that, I took apart my Echo Backpack leaf blower, and replaced the carburetor. It hasnt run properly, and hadn't been used, for 4 years. After everything was hooked up, and primed, it started on the second pull. I only had to adjust the idle. Best $13 fix yet.
I fixed the outside A/C unit. It stopped working a 4 days ago, and the house has the upstairs A/C doing double duty. I had to replace a Capacitor, as well as some wiring, that was fried. It blows nice and cold now. Happy wife now.
Thank you. The one in the back is the Command Outpost and is one heckuva chopper. I have chopped some limbs and punched it through a metal chair. The bowie just arrived today.
Right here in my side yard, in hop country, the beautiful Willamette valley, Oregon. There are plenty of commercial hop yards up and down the valley. Oregon State University in Corvallis breeds a lot of commercially important hops. These days many nurseries carry some hops varieties for us amateurs. Back in ancient times (pre-internet) I had to get them in the mail. Now, if you lindy in Portland, OR, you probably know all this. Thanks to the craft beer epidemic, I haven’t brewed beer in many years. I had many more hop vines and varieties at the old house where I did most of my brewing. I still love the smell of the resins in the hop cones. So I extract the hop essence and make aftershave.
Very cool. I love hoppy beers, but I live in North Carolina. I have watched documentaries about the hops in your area.
