    I just found this cool Ever Ready. Model 2500 Pure Badger. The knot is in pretty decent shape. Does anybody have any idea on age and handle material.

    Unfortunately we recently lost an expert source of information on brushes with the closing of the site OSSB. Though one thing I remember is that it was said the the numbers we call model numbers on Ever Ready brushes were actually more like suggested retail prices. This would be the reason you would find so many styles under one number. If I were to hazard a guess though regarding your brush, I would say the the 40's to early 50's

    Great looking brush! :happy088:

    @Enrico

    Didn't the OSSB site get indexed or housed somewhere? I thought I recalled some discussion...

    Here it is on the web archive whatever that is. No 2500 though. The closest is he 2000, I think.

    Well mine looks just like that one 2000. I gave it a bath and cleaning. I will try it out tomorrow.

    I think this will be a fine brush. [IMG]

    Looks great Tom. Knot looks to be in good shape. Does it loose hairs?

    First Shave with the 2500

    I went with proven hardware and soap.
    I soaked the brush while taking my shower. Now that it is nice and hydrated I went to town. Very luxurious feel nice and soft but not floppy. It did a wonderful job building lather on my face. I use the swirl to build the initial lather then move to a painting stroke.

    This will be a keeper and be put into regular rotation.

    Some of the links on those pages did not get archived unfortunately. My guess on the brush was the 50's. Here is the 2000, but it is a challenge to identify when it was made or sold. My guess is the 2000 and 2500 are directly related. I'd look to the box as a clue for establishing the date or period it was made.

    How long had the brush been soaking when you got back from town Tom? :happy102: Good picture and shave.

    That is my guess. This is from a post more than a few years ago and that OP shared the image with @bladeshark to use on his shaving brush website.
