New to it all .. saw an old DE my uncle had and said why not. I always loved getting a shave at the barber so now I’m getting all into it . The stuff I have so far is very basic .

I had a few weepers this morning, which surprised me as I was using a Stoylin brush on Stoylin soap. Nothing to worry about though, except for the anger that I had them in the first place. Fine shave overall, though. In a pattern I began last fall, all Stoylin soaps/A.S. get 3 straight days of work. Some other favorites may get the triple play also,(while some I'll just use 2 days in a row), but Stoylin is definitely in the "3" group.

Same one I've used for ages(with the exception of "attempting" others since joining here)-a Gillette Sensor 2 Disposeable.

Great razor but they give me weepers as well. I find the disposable blades too sharp.

I went back to my synthetic brush today after a sojourn with my boar brushes.
Tbh, i wonder why i bother with them (boar). The synthetic is such a good tool it is silly. Its bloody fantastic at everything. I can't think of any weak areas it has at all.

My lathering this morning was an utter joy.

Proraso SS and Omega Brush are top notch in my book, Antz! It is not about how many toys you have, but how you develop and improve your shaving technique regardless of the gear.

I have always been disappointed with any Badger brush i have used. Scritchy and greedy. Granted, i haven't had the pleasure of a Simpson Silver tip but then again i am never going to find myself buying a $$$$$$$$ brush.
I have read that a good synthetic is as good a brush as you will ever get and given my experience of them, i would probably agree.

I like my Omega, but yeah, the synthetics are fantastic brushes, especially for the price.

Weepers come and go, however, you had a nice shave. I never thought of using the same soap 3 days in a row. I like that idea. In fact, I may do a 30 straight razor shave challenge in which I use the same straight razor for 30 shaves in a row. Maybe, I will use the same brush, soap and AS throughout the 30 shaves, also. At least, it is an interesting idea.
