This morning I watched 9 year old Katie’s kindergarten slideshow. After seeing your shot of the boys, I was just going to comment on how quickly they’ve grown up and how time flies! Congrats on beginning ”the next episode”, Andrew! Make sure to enjoy it, because, as you know, it zooms by at light speed.
You missed that he wrote that comment in “sarcasm font”, Joe.
You’d be amazed at the power of “looking like you know what you’re doing”. People mistakenly believe you do. It’s like a Jedi mind trick.
No one can keep up anymore, Chris, but you’ve always had a lot to offer here in my book. Funny, your minimalism approach and blade strategy are identical to mine at this point.

Jon, I only have one synthetic and it does a great job lathering my soaps. However, I have to say my Omega 49 is my best brush out of my 4. I just like the feel of it on my face. It also is a great latherer and it is a larger brush so I have more soap to shave my stubble.

No Variance November is actually one of next month's themes, Joe. I don't recall if anyone did last year though..

My problem is that I have so many now(well, for me anyway....Doc Pasteur would say "Whaddya mean so many, Jack?"-knowing my name isn't Jack-)that I want to make good "digging" progress in them. But it will take quite a long time to complete even ONE. At the same time, I get a bit impatient after the second in a row and sometimes say "I'm tired, should I try another one tomorrow?". This is something I need to fight with. But Stoylin, my 2 Texas-based soaps, maybe a couple others I really like, I usually end up saying Ahh, I love this one, I'll do a 3-fer".

    Didja catch all that lol?????

I might do it, just for fun. I've been pretty much doing it now, except for rotating the two boar brushes.

Jim, as a matter of fact, I was thinking of doing it next month. If I do, then I probably will use my Frederick Herder Ace of Spades #49 straight razor, Omega 49, Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS to use the entire month.

Pardon me-synthetics. I'm not sure what the non-synthies are, they're kinda smallish, not much knot power.

Yes, I was also confused. Badgers are not scritchy.

I wish I had your patience, Joe(see my post that replies to your earlier one, where you said you might try a plan of consistency).

    Cool! I'll enjoy following along.
I'm going for a No Repeat November. Different razor, blade, brush and Soap for each shave. I'm short on razors though so I'll swap baseplates on the Blackbird and the Timeless Bronze and count each as it's own razor.

    I hear ya! :happy088:

I have a little Vulfix shaving brush which is a clipped Boar. It was cheap to buy and it looks it. Perhaps Vulfix's base model. Whilst my synthetic beats it in every area and heavily so, i just adore the little bugger and i too, like how it feels! Sometimes us humans see past the numbers i guess....

Well, I got the 30 straight shave challenge idea from Eric Latta of Adventures in Wet Shaving on You Tube. However, he changed SS and AS for every shave.

Brush: Fendrihen Silvertip Black Faux Ebony Handle

Couple of passes that lead to a very fine shave. Have a good weekend everyone.
