The brush is no good - much too floppy.
I did not manage to whip up a decent lather - result was a very thin lather.
As a check whipped up a new lather using a synthetic brush - now a great lather.

OCtober 4th and decided to take out my Gillette 1930's Canadian version NEW long comb with ball end handle & it has to be one of my favorites when it comes to Gillette with a brand new Gillette silver blue. It hardly ever fails me and performance is superb for results. I have two L.C. but my fat handle Gillette New LC seems to be a different shave and not sure why it makes a difference, not as good a shave for results sometimes.

Razor: Gillette Canadian version NEW long comb, MFG 1930's
Blade : Gillette Silver blue (1)
Soap : Razorock Lavender
Brush: Yaki Tuxedo knot 24mm +
Preshave: brush wash face with CeraVe soap + Aloe vera gel on beard area only,
Post shave : Alum block + cold water rinse
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + Alum indicating nothing + no weepers =

Thanks Gary, I will have to try SC one of these days. Some folks say the SC are better than the LC because of the clamping action, not sure how it can be much better because the LC is awesome already.
