Fave brush, eh... well, that is really saying something.
Great pic and report, Gary. I like the spoilers as well.
I liked the Stirling Bay Rum when I had it as well, Joe, and like you it is the only one I’ve tried.
Really interested in trying a vintage Brut dupe. Do you have Et Tu as well?
What do you think of the Jaws, Mark?
What a nice pic as well!
    Thoughts and prayers sent, Charlie.
Love that brass Blackbird, Andrew. I guess you have to ‘drink for two’ at the wedding...
I wonder how long you’d have to let that tub dry out until you saw some weight loss...

Thankfully most of my work was on the pole. Couple of mid span disconnects were right beside busy 4 lane streets - that'll get you in and out quick. No lolly gagging wondering who's going to crash your ladder out from under. The worst were apartment complexes with broken box locks. Had to spend time with dispatch double checking active customers vs bootleggers. Only got asked/told forcibly to leave once. I'd already got my disconnect done so it didn't matter. Closest to violence was when a guy ran over one of my orange cones on purpose. Didn't hurt it but I had to buy those and Granger's has no mercy. Now the data suppliers can cut service from the office so the field has changed. They don't unhook wires, just ping a MAC address and shut it off.

    make america grate again.gif
Thanks Terry! I'd have separated your post from the rest but I'm on a Shavette Fu Roll.
Nope. I've bought cheap stuff that sucked. Best example - Marvy soap puck.
I feel that way about U-Haul and other rental trucks. I guess if the school office has been informed an order was placed, and you identify the customers name, the cross checks are satisfied. Do you also have a lighted sign on top of your vehicle?

    I have both.

Et Tu is more to my liking. There is an 'earthly' type thing going in the middle that would turn me away if there was more of it. If you ask me the "essence of man" description is more applicable to this product than either the WK or modern Brut.

Wish I had some vintage Brut, just to make a comparison.

When I started shaving, Brut was the aftershave I used...... period....... for over 40 years. Wetshaving has expanded my horizons.

Nothing wrong with variety. I still like to have choices. I've just been at it long enough to have honed in on some choices I like better then others. And sometimes my choice is based on what I like least, and focusing on that item until I understand why I don't like it and whether the problem is me or the item (I'm looking at you, Dovo shavette).

No. Just door magnets. However, they can't see those from the doors in most cases. I think without exception they have never been aware that there is a food order coming in, except in the case where the principal ordered. I always go to the office to deliver and I guess they do it enough they just expect to see food delivery people show up. I'm sure it's one of those "normal" things that happens but all it would take is for one psychopath to figure out the "easy in" and there you go. I will also say that if they started making me go through tighter security I would probably stop delivering to schools just because of the extra time it would take. I get paid per delivery, so time standing around is wasted $$$. Or worse, NO $$$.

Here's another side to it......there are hotels who won't let me deliver directly to the guest's room, even though the guest requested it when they placed the order. I've nearly been tackled by hotel security when I breezed by the front desk on the way to the elevators. Nope. Call the customer and inform them I'm in the lobby. Hotel security is sometimes a very real thing.

Good question. It did lose 1 gram in two days from Wednesday to Friday. Since then, though, no movement at all. I don't even use that wet of a brush on MWF. So I have a hard time imagining that I'm putting in, say, 2 to 3 grams of water in place of 2 to 3 grams of soap that may be loading in the brush. Like I said, I'm going to use it for several more days at least to see what happens with a bit of time. If it doesn't start making sense I may have to let it set for awhile to see just exactly what time frame we're talking about.

    Yea.

My best shaving razor cost me $0.30 BNIB (YUMA)
My best performing soap cost the same (Arko cream)
My favorite blades were $0.50 a tuck (Rapira SS).
My YAQI brush cost $12 delivered.

That there is as good a set up as i will probably ever use.

High price doesn't automatically equate to a great shave.

My most expensive brush (Vulfix 404) is twice as expensive and only half the joy of my YAQI synthetic.

I get the brst shaves from my cheapest razor (YUMA)

My worst soap is my most expensive (DR Harris). Garbage. My best soaps are my cheapest (Arko, Boots, Palmolive)

My favorite blades are my cheapest (Rapira SS) and my worst blades are my most expensive (WS/Feather)

Weighing soaps post-waterboarding shave is to variable given the water content. Best pre-shave after a day with the lid off. Much more reliable and consistent measurement. :)
