Or live in a society where gun ownership is illegal.

I have never understood the attitude of the US to private gun ownership and why it hasn't just banned them like most other civilised countries have.
Full disclosure? Fully mental if you ask me.

And no i am not anti gun, i have used guns, owned them and enjoyed them. But under very, very strict laws and regulations and no automatics, assault rifles, cannons, etc. Our farmers still have shotguns for the vermin. We don't have bears and tigers wondering around so the average urbunite doesn't to be tooled up.

Crazy, crazy, crazy. If Sandy Nook couldn't change it, i don't know what could but, as ever in this life, you reap what you sow. Allow the public to have firearms and they will get used.

    /rant.

i guess i have been pretty lucky with my shaving purchases.a lot of my razors were bought on ebay..thankfully they were nice looking pieces, a little more pricey but worth the $$.no damage and they were correct as advertised.my higher $$ gillettes and brit gillettes were bought from private and well established sources, people who have a rep to maintain so no bogus or damaged goods there.as one knows some gillettes are high priced due to scarcity, age and condition.shave quality was determined by researching forums reviews.20 people stating an rfb is their favorite brit razor is believable ..i rarely trust reviews on sales websites without checking forums first..and to my soaps and such..after my 10+ year adventure with williams, wilkinson brush i started reading the shave forums and checking out soap/creams.yes you guessed it -tobs sandalwood was one of my first purchases, then cella.mikes ,grandstaff,..all the soaps/creams i have purchased have great reviews on forums,,especially this forum..from respected members.i am just 3 +years into this adventure and the knowledge gained has helped me make better decisions when choosing products as well.i can base future purchases on past experiences with certain soap bases /quality and consistency..brushes..well that's the wild west..i have bought one brush i bought on brand recognition.it was cheaper but their base model.it sucked and got given away.thankfully i don't get caught up in the queen's corgi nuts hair brushes and related hype..but i still read reviews on the forums..some enabling here yes,but folks here won't buy something and praise it if it's crap..my point ..research,research,research ..and of course ymmv..

I like Evan Williams Black as well. Four Roses is smoother and better balanced. To my taste Evan Williams Black has a sweeter smell taste and mouth feel. Four Roses tastes more of spice like cinnamon and has a warmer mouth feel.

    MWF~~Simpson~~Heljistrand MK32 6/8~~Old Spice Lime
This Helji arrived from @gssixgun yesterday and I had to get my straight on with today's shave.
First thing you will notice are these lovely, natural bone scales.
They have some real depth and my photo
    does not do them justice.
With only 24 hours growth and following a pretty darn great shave, I didn't have much to work with,
BUT...IMO, if a razor's got a wicked edge, it should nevertheless give you a great shave.
Loaded the Simpson with a plethora of MWF and went to work building the lather on my face.
The "bloomed" soap already had a goodly amount of H2O, so only a bit more was necessary.
I am enjoying the dedicated soap-usage this
month and happy to see so many others involved as well.
I am going to weigh my soap at the very end, and having kept the picture of the first weigh-in,
    will compare then.
So, how did the razor do...:signs002:
Very well, I am happy to report.
The scales are larger than my other razors, so balance was slightly off at first.
The WTG pass "buttered some toast" and left my cheeks and jaw DFS.
Skin-Stretching really allows me to get the jaw-line smooth, without fear of filleting my skin.
Passes two and three were uneventful and without blood-letting of any kind.
    Jaw is smooth. :happy088:
    Cheeks are smooth. :happy088:
    Neck is relatively smooth. :shocked002:
Finished the shave routine with a healthy splash of OS Lime.
Tomorrow will be the end of that bottle. :sick013:

Those kids must be quite tired after a feetball game Friday night, then coming back to do a contest 24 hrs. later. But I suppose they're used to such a busy schedulr.

Everything is great, but to answer these questions every thing must be measured, the water you are gonna use, the dry brush and the soap. Then weigh everything after you're done. This should indicate where the water was distributed.
I'm not quite that interested in it to go through all that. Another possible way might be to weigh the soap dried, use it for 30 days. Let it dry well again then weigh it. Divide the result by 30 and you would get an averaged use.
If you weigh the drying soap daily, it should stop at a weight and that would indicate when it's as dry as it will become.
All in all, it can be done, but I'm not sure I'd have that much time. I'm Glad others are trying to do this, me still watching to see what the outcome will be.

    Good luck!
    tp
