TOBS Rose is my favorite I am waiting on a casesd Gem damaskeene, with blade case. I think this is the link.. I got too many of these going to sell a few with the purple lined box but no blade case. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=170322597533 The blade case is going to complete my OC1912 damaskeene set.
That's a sweet hoe there, Fuzzy. Looks like the one I got from Justin, but in much cleaner condition. Very shiney! I'm more attracted to cased, complete razors all the time. Used to be they didn't interest me very much, but now they do.
I want my OC to be a complete set... and I tend to pick up the different gem sets. I have 7 different micromatic sets now. and several 1912, 1914, 1924 sets. I do want a couple of the different Khaki sets also.
I saw that Khaki set here earlier today. Very nice. They've got a lot of character. I really have to watch how much I pick up though. A case full of pens is one thing, but a second case full of razors might just be pushing it. Oh, for a den...
Sorry to hear you got so little sleep. A complete OC set would be nice, but then again... the rest of us don't even have an OC 1912 Gem.. stupid flipping snipers!
I hate when you come across an open "Reply To Thread" window with no idea of what you were replying to or what you were going to say..... Good morning?
Slept in, woke up, took the dog out, logged onto here, ran Rolls on strop.... so far so good... Local kite festival is today. I am just hoping there will be enough wind. Of course it will be in the 50s so we don't want too much wind either...
you can usually scroll down to see what were the previous posts in the thread. That is one of the banes of having multiple windows up at once. Sometimes you just have one too many...
I love when I have windows open and lose one. usually it has a half read article on it.. grrrrr.. Getting old can suck at times.
Matt, how did you remove the scales on your straight razor? Or did Glen do that part? EDIT good morning Justin, Calvin
They broke when I tried to take them off.... both sets. But a) I didn't care too much about them and b) I wasn't using proper tools.... From what I've been reading, a drill press is the best way to go....something I don't have. A regular drill and vice or clamp should work, too, but just be extra careful...
