    YUM(A)MY

    Razor: YUMA
    Blade: Gillette Super Silver (#4)
    Soap: MWF
    Brush: Vulfix No.28

After banishing the Shrek razor to the shave den chokey, i needed a really nice and easy shave to close out the remaining use on this blade (Shave #4 btw and still going strong).
Looking at my razors, i discounted the OC's. My face is a bit bruised from arguing with the Shrek OC for the last few days so a CC it was and as i always find, my eye was drawn to the YUMA. I can't explain this razor. It is as close to a disposable DE as you will ever get but it just shaves me so well. This razor is my argument against the myth that heavier is better. Not in this case, the lightness of it helps you get a really light touch and gives it a huge amount of feedback and tactility in use.
The MWF just leaped of the puck today (strangely so...). No effort at all to get a huge load for the face lathering which was a joy with the No.28.
I had such a super shave. DFS, clean comfy and out the gap!

    Enjoy your shaves :)

Hello all and a great menthol Monday.
Got some rain overnight, that will help keep the dust down.
    Another wonderful, smooth, shave again.
Using a new Feather blade, of course, in the RR V1 Blackhawk and no disappointment here. 3 passes on the mug with a baby smooth 2 pass on the gord.
All the other tools worked great.
I'm clean, smooth, cool and ready to go!

Going for another shave in a few with my focus gear. No post-shave scents since I will be mixing it up with my sweet kiddos today. Having no MWF to weigh, I weighed myself instead. Right on target @ 200. :)

    Have a fantastic Monday!

    Thanks!

I hear shavers waffling on about heft and weighty handles all the time. Particularly with the Techs.
YMMV obv, but i don't mind lighter handles at all, they help me feel the way tbh.

    Well, about that...

    i seem to bounce from 188 pre-weekend to 192 post weekend :p

Pints on friday night, a kebab, chocolate brownies, ice cream, cheese on toast supper, etc over the weekend all take their toll lol.

I am back on the gruel today :(

I appreciate you asking about my Bride. She is doing fine; however, we are both preoccupied, and we have asked to speak with her Doc today.

    Shavette shave #105
    Dovo Shavette
    Polsilver 1/2 DE (7)
    Rockwell Synthetic
    Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS
Did a 2 pass shave on a 40 hr stubble for an IBSS++.
Shave took me 12 min that included pre. This was a very quick shave with 2 small weeps; gone with styptic. School called me last minute so I had to hurry. No irritation, but I know that I can have a quick shavette shave when necessary with little to no damage. Have a great day guys! 20191007_061524.jpg 20191007_061524.jpg

Good job staying on target! I have also learned to enjoy my favorite foods in moderation. My weight fluctuates as well, and my running average is just under 201. I kinda went nuts with some friends back in mid-September and enjoyed too much fried food and ice cream. I had another outing with a buddy last week. You can clearly see these upward bumps on my chart. If I had no friends, I'd be doing a lot better on the average. ;)
