Like I said in a previous post, "New" Spice has improved its "message". Smell Like A Man outdoes Smellmitment any day, IMO.

Now that I've shaved with some pretty crazy stuff since I joined here , I find myself looking for the next sharpest thing. The shavette now gives me a clean smooth result after doing a 30 day rule and using it more often. Maybe I just see the straight as a niche that I need to answer the question in my head thats askung " what does it feel like to use it?"

    Monday OCtober 7

Hitting cleanup, one of the pride of my collection, Gillette British Aristocrat #15.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - MWF
    Brush - Rubberset 200-4
Blade - Feather HI SS (6)
    Razor - 1938 Gillette British Aristocrat #15
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Baum.BE A/S balm

    Shave rating 5 of 5

Had to take a few days off from shaving - surgery on my left hand on Friday and had some pain issues over the weekend so didn't want to risk it. My 4th OCtober shave is with one of my favorite razors period; a 1938 Gillette British Aristocrat #15. The shave was so smooth, the razor feels so solid and has good heft. There was a little bit of blade feel (which I like) but not overly aggressive. My Monday soap was MWF and that is a very good soap - I just wish I had more. The Rubberset 200-4 brush is a little floppy for my taste but still did a good job. Post shave, the alum reported very little - one little weeper - which I think backs up how good the razor and shave were. The shave was BBS on 2 passes with no follow-up needed.

I'm not sure I'll shave Tuesday, may wait an extra day so I can look through my razors to see which one is next AND use MWF again (as if I need an excuse).

Happy OCtober and great shaves everyone.

Yup, Paul. A nice presentation. The puck is wrapped in paper that is folded in pleats like a kilt and sealed with a easy to remove label. Here you can see how it slightly smaller than the inside of their ceramic dish. The lid is upside down so you can see the ridge that hold in in place..
New puck in dish.gif Now after five lather, no perceivable loss of mass due to water absorption, and irritation at the puck bouncing around, I've Super Bloomed the product. This photo at 24 hours into the process shows the puck nearly touching the walls. It should load easily with that look of the the juice on top of a tub of sour cream.

Thanks Jason! On that principle I prefer to spend a little more for just the soap. I have plenty of water.
Off Topic Ken? In my 30 Day Thread? Parish the thought! I was inspired by Clint's comment. Something about fiber? Maybe we were talking bourbon. I hope you didn't read the file name.
