We work a rotating 2 week schedule. first week 6 hours on turs 12 on wed then Sat and sun 12's. Second week Mon 12 tues 6 thur and fri 12's. I can take the 6 hours on tues off then the 12 on the Wed and basically have a week off.

4 night shifts, off 3 days, 3 day shifts, off 1 day, 3 night shifts, off 3 days, 4 day shifts, off 7 days.

That should confuse you all. Unfortunately, since the economy turned south, the furnace isn't running but 3-4 days a week.

That's about the schedule I used to be on, but it was 6-6.
Rotating days and nights with turnaround days in between.
I'm actually kinda glad to be off that and working 8 hr 3rd shift.
We got to keep the week off for a while after we changed our schedule format, but HR finally made us do away with it.
Now we get the choice of working the Monday and Tuesday following our work weekend and taking Wed-Sun off, or taking Mon-Wed off and working Thurs & Friday before the weekend.
I usually work the Monday and Tuesday because it gives me five contiguous days off rather than splitting in the two work days.

Now you know why after 20 years my wife still can't tell when I'm working. Thats why I have copies of my schedule on my website and print copies to hand out to family and friends.

Matt, I think someone posted a picture of you in the picture tag thread. Fuzzy made me do it. he is such a BULLY today!

    haha...yeah, I just saw it... :happy088

The funny thing is, for as easy as my schedule is (4 on(2days/2nights)/4 off) no one outside of the FD and my wife can keep it straight.....

Good Evening HYDers! Busy day here. One of ya told the fish I was coming and they all hid. Tilled the gardens, cut some flowers to enjoy on the dining table, and a nice longggg tub soak followed by a date with my 1912 and some Tabac. :happy108

A hot bath and some Tabac is its own reward.

And look at it this way, at least you didn't have to gut & clean a bunch of fish. :happy102

At least your wife keeps it straight. I recently switched a weekend with someone at work and the Mrs. was really thrown for a loop for the following 2 weeks.

Evening MsB. Sorry to here about the fish, but it still had to be nice to be fishing.
