  4. the senator /sheraton razors are probably similar to the u.s oc crat . @BBS would have a small novel on that as he did extensive trials on that series .the brit crat shaves differently due to the different base plate design. imo of course..

  7. Razor: Gillette NEW LC
    Blade: Polsilver (1)
    Brush: Razorock Barber 24
    Soap: Stirling Deap Blue Sea
    AS: Stirling Deap Blue Sea

I really like this Gillette NEW LC. I hadn't used it before OCtober but it will be in my regular rotation now. I haven't used polsilver blades much either and will be using those more often as well. Very enjoyable shave.

Very interesting, Jeff. I would love to shave with my father's or grandfather's razor if I had one. I'm generally not very nostalgic about my vintages, but having one of those would be a lot different. May I ask what your reasoning is behind not using them?
    [/QUOTE]
No reasoning involved. As far as I know, my father and grandfather were the last users of their respective razors. I prefer that status continue.

  16. Hello everybody. Sorry I've been scarce for the past few days. It has been busy 'round here sorting out the situation with my sweet Bride. We should finish the last round of initial tests next week, and it will take a few more days to collect all the results, get a diagnosis, and determine the plan forward. God is faithful, and we remain hopeful. We do appreciate your prayers.

At this point, consider me permanently behind on the thread, but I will jump when I can. I am still hanging in there with my OCtober focus, and I hope your shaves have been great!
  17. Thanks Blair! I'm not yet sure it was a successful experiment. I relish learning new stuff so I'm having fun. Both Joseph @Primotenore & Jon @BlueShaver are counseling me in private session. See the next post, and stand on the shoulders of those that walked here before.
If I did damage, it's only a £10 mistake. Having a bottle of pure lanolin for the repair could be a nice side effect.
Kiitos Daniel! Sounds like you are doing well, too.
That's the ticket! Getting little or no irritation is a goal, then working on better results follows.
Ihmiset saattavat kääntää viestini, mutta keskustelu "sisu" ja päättäväisyys voivat hämmentää heitä.
Huh...yeah. Why was I trying to do that? Thank you Jason for the third person view. I use and profess a liking for hard soaps. I got focused on weighing the product, and the puck bouncing in the dish.
Now that's an Open Ended Question. Been a while since I was in Sales. I too am curious.

My heirloom list of razors is short; 2 Schick Krona. Siill got em, find them too mild for my tastes.
