Hey Guys....Just a "Let You Know" announcement....

The reason you haven't see Jayaruh around lately....Is he had a very bad fall in a ladder related accident!

He's been hospitalized...had surgery....he's now got all kinds of metal and stuff..holding his leg and knee together.

He is doing well, under the circumstances (he's a tough cat, he seems to handle pain well) and they are planning rehab and PT...But he is still in the Hospital...

There is a post on his condition across the street at TOST. Theres enough metal in those xrays to build a go-cart.

Might want to drop him some "Get Well" posts...

    You can reach him here:

    Williams Mug Soap
    Supply SE . V1 & V2- No3 plate
    Schick S/S -Japan [ 2 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

This Japanese blade works very well in the Supply. An extremely smooth Shave with an excellent close all round finish.

I've posted this over at the Open Comb area, but this SE needs to be shared here. This is my first use of the L'Essor, and while it came with wedge blades (as you can see in the pic), my wedge honing skills are still VERY underdeveloped, so I opted for a GEM SS PTFE blade on it's 10th shave.

One cool feature is how the back blade clip works -- it is not spring based, but rather tightened by turning the knob at the bottom of the handle. This twist to close-and-lock on the back blade clip and the nice and snug side clips (plus solid blade stops) meant that the thin GEM blade was nicely locked into place. Often these wedge-blade razors don't do a great job with the thinner modern blades, but this one was, shall we say, parfait!!! The shave was made even better with Modern Williams and my Omega boar....2-passes and a quickie witch hazel touch-up produced a super close and very comfortable shave.

Always love seeing that razor, and the way you photograph things. Also that is an amazing looking brush.

Thank you for the update. I checked out the pictures of the Xray across the street, man that's a lot of metal. If he flies a lot the TSA is gonna love him.

Today's shave was my first with the TNNSER 3D. A friends brother has a 3D printer and offered to print it for me. After a bit of cleanup with a file it slides together quite nicely. I couldn't find a half nut in stainless at my hardware store so I also had to file down a standard nut. It was worth the effort though since I have less than $3 into the razor and it shaves wonderfully. The Valet Auto Strop was included in the shave for OCtober. I tried out a second use carbon steel blade and wasn't very impressed so switch to a SS. Still not impressed but the TNNSER 3D more than made up for it and I ended up with a great shave.

Thank you. That's very kind of you to say. I really just get lucky shots sometimes. There's a lot to be said for excellent lighting.

Thanks I gave my friend a list of first to last choice in colors, he passed it along to his brother. I wasn't sure what color I'd end up with. But I have to say it looks pretty sweet in orange.

Thanks. It was kinda fun figuring it out. I drilled a shallow hole in a peice of wood, put the nut in it to hold it while I filed it to be even with the surface of the wood.
