My Aunt and Uncle, who see about once every 10 years was in town last night. My sister told them I was in to wet shaving, but my mom interrupted and said don't get him started. Her tone was light hearted but I am a little concerned I like and look forward to something most find a boring chore. Help me feel normal guys.
Thanks, Jim! I agree that Proraso is a good soap. It is easy to lather with very good slickness. I will use it throughout the year, despite the NY winters.
You are normal. You are a man's man because you wetshave. Lol! All kidding aside, just tell them that you like the historical aspects to wetshaving and that you get better shaves doing so.
Thank you guys. Sitting in the waiting room at the doctors office. I hope we’re able to figure out what’s going on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good for you! Your in a hot home so menthol soaps and aftershaves shouldn't be a problem in cold climes. After shaving, you usually have breakfast and that's another 20 minutes so that when you do go outside, the effects of the menthol is usually gone. There isn't any soap that is off limits to me any time during the yeat. I will use Coconut Lime in the winter because I like it, for instance.
Another beauty of a shave this morning with the AgadirMen(Oud Wood). The scent lingers for quite a long time-perhaps a credit to the AgadirMen team who made it so comsumers could show the fruits of their(Agadir's)labor in just that way-a lengthy scent. The one "issue" I had during the shave was that the Agadir produced a tingly feeling as I applied it on my neck. I never felt that before. No facial tingle, just the neck. The soap(Lumberjack from The Soap Exchange, Ft. Worth, TX), reacted real well to the loading action of the Stoylin "li'l brudder. Shaved, cleaned up, and ready to face Thursday!!
When Al Bell invented the telephone, he didn't intend for people to "go to fast" on it.(chuk yuk yuk_)
I wouldn't even mind using a menthol AS right before going outside, even if the weather is cold. But i might be a menthol addict. Or just crazy.
Most folks either are ambivalent or dislike shaving. You like it. That puts you outside the "norm", but in a good way. I recall early in my Shave Journey I made a comment around my folks. Told my mother,"I discovered soap!" She mentioned how she'd been trying to get me to..."No, maw. Shave Soap!" I got the deadpan stare from her, then she grinned. If you take pleasure in personal grooming you are normal. My daughter would say, "Let your Freak flag fly!"
