Another irritation free two pass shave. Nicked a mole, but the bleeding stopped very quickly with a little bit of alum. Apart from the nick, it was a good shave.

And...Dodge RAMs silly TPMS doesn’t handle temp fluctuations very well.

I have done shave #7 on the Super Silver blade. It isn't as sharp as #1 but rather than dulling as you shave as per a feather, i just feel that i am beginning to lose closeness on the shave. Its odd tbh, they don't seem to suddenly dull like a modern blade.
7 good shaves from 1 blade is a great result for me. I may try 8 but i suspect i may want a new blade.

i haven't had more than 2 or 3 on each so far as i bounce razors/blades around.but the super silver feels like a super stainless spoiler blade to me and is wearing in a similar way.and yes ,they get dull gradually imo .not like the modern blades.very happy with them..

Double SOTD:
Shave one: this shave was 30th shave with the 7 o clock sharp edge blade, and its last as it started tugging. It had a very good run though, and the sharp edges have become my go to blade for longevity. I'll definitely be ordering a 100 pack of them when my blade reserves get low which could take a year or two. The only blade ive used that lasts longer is the feathers, which is the next blade to receive at least a 30 shave treatment although i might use it for longer.

Razor: Gillette Super Speed flare tip (UK)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
Blade: Gillette 7 o clock sharp edge(30)
Soap: Col Conk lime
Aftershave balm: prep

Shave 2:
The first shave with the fresh feather and what a fantastic blade. This is the second feather ive used, and if it wasnt for its high price it would be my main blade too. Perfect for speed shaves in a mild razor or a perfect BBS shave if you pair it with an agressive razor like a fatip piccolo. These blades have a reputation for "drawing blood" but as long as your technique is good and you use 0 pressure, you're highly unlikely to cut yourself. Its so sharp that i didnt even feel it shaving my whiskers and at first i thought it wasnt doing anything until i rinsed it off and realised how good these blades really are lol. BBS shave in 3 passes with 0 irritation.

BRUSH: OMEGA 49
Blade: feather hi-stainless(1)
Soap: Arko shave stick
Aftershave Balm: prep

Got out a Gillette TTO OC and loaded it with a Feather blade. Loaded my cheaper badger brush with a new scent from Stirling. Used the no soak, no bloom "dippity doo" way of loading the brush.
Works nice, got great lather.
2 pass face, 2 pass head with one blade.
Doing this for a couple years and still learning.

Another nice shave with the Sheraton; this time with some Lather Blaster 3000. Two passes, DFS, and a great scent. What more could you want on a Friday. I am heading to the refinery south of Houston today. It will be my first visit there, so I am looking forward to it. I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Friday. I am so happy today is Friday. I am still pretty weak with some dizziness but I will try to make it at work. The silivertip brush loaded and lathered the LPV with ease. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with no drama, errors, nicks or weepers. A splash of Dominica Grand Bay Rum aftershave has me smelling good and ready for the day. Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Blade: vintage Gillette Spoiler
Razor: Gillette Fatboy
Brush: Omega 10049 boar
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Fat Friday and a great shave occurred. The Fatboy on 9 is smooth as silk. The whiskers are reduced with ease, particularly with a backdrop of Fat lather. Big splash of Fine American Blend to finish it off. Today is a teacher workday without students. They also have Monday off, but we still have a game tonight, so I'll go to work and then all the kids will report tonight for the game. Hopefully I can steal away and have lunch with Alice.

Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Light tickle from the alum.

So far this month I've been doing 20 second brush loads, down from my usual 30 seconds. I'm not doing this to save soap but more to save time. Plenty of soap for at least five passes and less time adding water to bring the soap to my preferred consistency. I give my brushes a good squeeze and a sharp flick before loading. So far this method has worked very well for me with most soaps. The lone exception would be B&M Reserve, I skip the flick to start with a wetter brush and do a 15 second load.

Always have to be careful with the R41, but I had a smooth 3 pass shave for a BBS result. I alwayd like the second shave with a Voskhod blade better than the first.

The Axe Black is new. It has a very modern fruity and woody scent. My 16 year old daughter really likes it. Which tells me I probably smell more like a teenage boy. My wife also likes it which is all that really maters to me.

I must say that the Clubman Reserve aftershave(Whisky Woods)does look good for a combination with the Mahogoany(WSP)soap, but we'll see about AV Musk tomorrow. I also decided that the loser can go with the Burma Shave Soap. Clean, no-cut, 2-pass shave...I guess I've made a couple DENTS in the WSP pancake(the soap lol), thus the loading onto the brush has become a bit easier.

3 pass DFS+ again today. Ordered this Heritage brush handle knotless. Last night, got around to installing a 26mm Zenith boar transplant. The combo made an awesome MWF lather today, and the Puma 89 Special handily whisked away everything in it's path, no nicks, irritation, just smooth skin.

An unusual weekend off for me for this time of year, and it's packed with band, music and volunteering. Somewhat similar to Perry, our HS schedule is a half day (exams), but then a mid afternoon dress rehearsal band show practice, followed with a 5:00pm call time for an away game. Tomorrow is our 3rd of 4 weekends straight of marching band competitions. The band is in full uniforms now....and coming off a great competition last weekend. A 2nd place overall, so the students and directors are very stoked for tomorrow's competition. Sunday is a fun day too, as I get to take my oldest to her symphony practice with the Dallas Youth Symphony Orchestra. Completely pumped!

Using some great Open Comb razors but no Fat. Something else on that end.

Open Combs and the Fat on Tuesday/Thursday - just to be difficult.

Still gonna shave with straights!

Whatever I choose because I just roll that way!
