Yes, I have the Polsilvers in bulk. In general, I’ve come to love most Russian Gillettes- Polsilvers, Nacets, Astra SPs and Permasharps are my usual go tos. Also have some Sputniks and two discontinued Russian Gillettes- the 7 OClock Blues and Wizamet IS. Like and use them all.

The NEW LC is a personal favourite. I’m going to pull out the Goodwill 175 next- it has a baseplate very similar in shape to a LC, albeit with a much different top cap. Also a nice shaver.

Good luck! You'll love it. As I have said, I tried SR before DE. I had no feel for angle or pressure, but I didn't die just looked like I lost a cat fight... for several weeks. You'll probably do better because you at do have that experience.

I still love a nice relaxing SR shave. SR Saturday!

Andrew, thanks for the kind offer, but I have a ton of soaps! I'm sorry MWF didn't work out for you, but I'd be happy to see @SharptoothC give it a go.

    Have a great weekend!

Well I’ll raise my hand! If you can’t find someone to send the soap to, I’ll let you send it to me!

    Good Saturday morning to all.
While I wait for the rain to stop so I can run wires outside.....
    This morning's shave was great.
Using my Cooper Monobit and a new Feather blade I'm clean and smooth for a 2 x 2 head n face shave. Using my dip lather style gave me great lather.
Not sure I'm a fan of this scent, give it another day or so.

I arose very early and enjoyed a warm shower and a fantastic two-passer with my focus gear. I've used my 2019 30DC LE brush for the last few shaves. The handle is just about perfect, and the SynBad knot is my favorite synthetic so far. The tips are very soft, and it has just enough backbone to get the job done well. I don't soak the knot prior to use. I just run water on it, load for 5 to 10 seconds, go into a face lather, and I'm all set. Since I'm not soaking the knot, I'll often skip the brush scuttle as well. I finished up the usual stuff. The Floid Vigoroso provided a mild powdery menthol hit, just about perfect for a cold Saturday morning. My Bride likes the scent of Vigoroso, so that's a plus. :)

We turned on the furnace for the first time this morning...and it worked! It has been a nice morning of relaxing, Bible study (I use the McCheyne Reading Plan), and catching up on news. We're already into the second pot of coffee, and we haven't ruled out a third pot later today. I heard rumblings from the Boss that a roast; potatoes, carrots, & onions from the garden; beef broth; and cream of mushroom soup may be going into the crock pot this morning.

We're hoping for a quiet and joyful weekend. I hope you all have a great one as well!
